I like it certain situations but I would rather the WiiU be bundled with a pro controller and take off $100 from the thing

Welcome to 90s Sega, where Genesis Does and Blast Processing were all Sega needed to sell their system. Not to mention the Atari Jaguar and Nintendo 64 boasting about their 64 bit processors and the PS3 Cell Processor advertisements. Graphics have been a selling point for systems ever since you were able to see a big difference. From 8 bit to 16 bit to 32 and 64 bit to HD, graphics have always been the first thing people are when a new system is shown off.
yes back when graphics mattered, back in those days graphics determined what a console could do, The jump from 8 bit to 16 bit was Incredible and from 16 bit to 64 bit was amazing. from Gen 5 to Gen 6 and Gen 6 to Gen 7 was Great. The gameplay on super mario Galaxy wouldn't have been possible on a N64 because of the power of the console. But the amount of polygons and power a Gen 7 console could do was pretty much the limit, we aren't going to see a giant jump ever again. These next gen consoles aren't going to be as groundbreaking as before, making the specs almost useless seeing as we aren't going to see anything special no matter how much they advertise it. We are going to see games which are just Gen 7 games but slightly more graphical and that's about it.
In simpler terms, Back then, specs were a big deal, now-days not so much.

Everything in my room collects dust, but that's because I live in a desert.
Unlike people who complain, I play games every now and then, because I don't always feel like playing games. Sure, when something like Windwaker comes out, I'll be playing that when I can, but I'm not a heavy duty gamer, I have other interests.
Also, I watch netflix about every day when I exercise, so I use my WiiU.

I have been playing it and using it for the internet and not complaining about it unlike what everyone seems to do. Seriously, E3 just came and tons of good games are coming for Wii U. Can't you just look at the future and not the past?

The owner of ASDA is obviously a hardcore gamer that doesn't approve of such childish lame games from Nintendo.

I'm waiting for it to get even lower, around the <$15 mark. From then I plan on getting Mass Effect 3, Black Ops 2, and probably Darksiders 2

Haha I know that feel. Every time I'm at Superstore or Best Buy I have to force myself not to pick up ZombiU and Lego City because I know they'll just sit there being unplayed. I already have a backlog of games but that doesn't stop me from wanting them in my collection so badly. What's better than bringing home a new Wii U game? Bringing home two Wii U games. If you have enough points definitely do it. ![]()

In 1986 I headed off to college and lived in a dormitory. In the main lounge stood PINBOT and right next to it the video game VANGUARD. It was the only time in my life I had access to a pinball machine at any frequency.
Pinball was always intimidating ... to begin with, I never knew the rules so my plan was always to just keep the ball alive. Most times the rules were written in such small text on the lower right and left corners of the tables, right where people, including me, would put their cigarettes while they were playing and that resulted in burn marks all over the rule sheet. Even playing PINBOT, I wasn't exactly sure of all the rules. Anyone who has never played PINBOT, it has a large wide open space down the middle so you have to be careful while playing. It doesn't have as many targets as the machines that came after it, so you really had to aim.
Pinball was intimidating because a bad run and your quarter was gone in minutes. Quarters were not easy to come by those days, besides, I needed them to buy cigarettes and beer! Even though I could last a lot longer on Vanguard, I played PINBOT just as much. Unlike a video game, pinball has no real beginning, middle, or end. If you play a video game, in many cases, once you have played a particular part of it, you have seen that part and done it ... the next time around its the same and yet, even though the pinball table remains a constant, each time you play it, it is different and there is always the fear of loosing your ball the entire time you are playing it.
In short, pinball is a panic, and it is more difficult than most video games these days. Its that twitch game-play that used to be in video games that keeps me coming back, its the fear of death, its the electronic sounds and pings and pangs, clings and clangs, clinks and clanks, and the robotic chitter chatter jibber jabber.
20 years after college and my love of the game is resurrected with Video Game Pinball! There are no burn holes in the rule sheets but quarters are still hard to come by so thank God there isn't a quarter slot in my Wii U, 3DS, PS3, PS Vita or Nexus 10 Tab ... it gives me the opportunity to keep on playing and learning the ins and outs of the tables.
Of all the devices I have Zen Pinball 2 for, simply put, it plays the best on the Wii U ... Its the Wii U Game Pad that makes all the difference. On the other systems, the nudge control is never comfortable or convenient for that matter and when you set the flippers to the Z buttons, it is the most comfortable set up of any system ... it just feels right!
This game has inspired me to pick up The Pinball Arcade and Pinballisitik Pinball on the PS3 but the beauty of Zen is that you can do things you never could do on a real table yet all the tables feel like real tables.
In the words of Gary Stern of Stern Pinball, “The thing that’s killing pinball,” is not that people don’t like it. It’s that there’s nowhere to play it.” “This is a ball game. It’s a bat and ball game, O.K.?” ... now we all have a place to play pinball, and place to talk about it too ....to me, Pinball is a Panic, what is it to you?

Can't take you seriously, Basically the main reasons you don't want the wii U is because
1. The Xbox one and PS4 is more powerful, even tho reality has proven time and time again that better hardware does not equal better console
2. Because they had a bad launch... so did the 3DS, look at it now
3. You hate the fact that Nintendo is having a hard time making HD games, By the way, THEY HAVE NEVER MADE AN HD GAME BEFORE, Obviously it shouldn't come as a surprise they have a hard time. GIve them some slack ffs. None of the Third parties complained, wanna know why? because they have had experience making HD games...
4. The fact 3rd parties aren't jumping on the Wii U... You bought a Nintendo console, what did you expect? Seriously you did own most of their past consoles, you should have easily known what was going to happen.
5. "I regret buying a Wii U now because it's gathering dust" No!!!! Really? i mean if you actually bought games for it instead of canceling pre-orders then maybe it wouldn't.
6. "the playing the full game on the gamepad is also pretty pointless in my view" Opinion, a very 1 sided opinion. I BEARLY ever get the chance to have the T.V to myself, it is one of the most convenient features any console has ever had for me. Ooh and I can actually play my games in my own bed instead of being stuck downstairs.
If you are being serious with all of these things, i have a simple answer, Sell the Wii U and never buy it again. I'm serious if you are having such a bad time with it and pointing out stupid and idiotic things wrong with it, then just sell it. There is no point in having it if you are complain about these things about it.
