#225494 I think Bias is the reason for the Wii U's lack of third-party support

Posted by ThePopiPenguin on 23 June 2013 - 07:07 AM

The Devs are just scared that their "fans" (so called hard-core gamers) will bash them for making a game for a "kiddie" console.

#225493 They need to fix their dlc/store IMO.

The Wii U's store is just fine. I for one like it compared to the cluttered PS3 PSN shop. They just need to improve it a tad bit.

#223078 Reggie: Nintendo is Considering Reviving Old Franchises.

I for one, want either StarTropics or a new Ice Climbers game.

#222527 The Wii U should have been as powerful as the Xbox one.

Syks, I don't know if you're a troll, serious or just plain delusional but X is an OPEN WORLD RPG. Killzone (a franchise I love), is a FPS which only have closed environments. When we see a Nintendo-made, closed-environment FPS/game ; that's the time we can actually debate about the topic. Open world games require much much more resources than FPSes. Also, Mario Kart looked pretty close in terms of graphics considering Mario is a racing game.

#222119 Some ideas for a gaming station please.

Posted by ThePopiPenguin on 15 June 2013 - 04:36 AM

Me and my friends are renting a booth at our school's fair next next month and were thinking of making a game booth to fund the development of our little action RPG. We currently have access to the following systems and games:

Wii U:

Super Smash Bros.

Wii Fit

Nintendo Land

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate

Just Dance 3

PS2:

Most relevant games released

PS3:

Same as above

SNES:

LTTP

Super Mario World

Secret of Mana

Super Street Fighter 2

Star Fox

Any ideas on the games, cost to charge, design of booth and others?

#220197 I think Nintendo did a pretty great job at E3 but...

They MUST advertise it to be the go-to system. Use the power of the price point and I guarantee you, ill-informed shoppers who buy for their CoD kid will get the cheaper console especially since it has CoD. With each sale of the Wii U, the good word of Nintendo is spread. Power of the price point baby. Just advertise it on every goddamn thing people can see. Movies, TV shows, Magazines, heck they should even advertise on benches.

Yeah. With the announcements of X, Smash Bros and Mario 3D, Nintendo has done an okay job at E3 albeit safely played. The one thing Nintendo needs now is advertisement. I've personally sold the Wii U to 10 people but before that they knew little to nothing about the U. I think Nintendo should really invest in that department so as to increase the Wii U's sales. For example, the PS4 is so heavily marketed that a simple 1 minute video about used games got 5 million views on their channel compared to the Nintendo's E3 game reveals in which the highest viewers in a video were 100k.

Hello there and enjoy your stay here!

#214233 Can we please stop necro-ing and feeding troll/doom & gloom threads?

Posted by ThePopiPenguin on 01 June 2013 - 11:10 AM

Well, in the whole time I've stayed in the forums (I was here since last year but only registered recently) there were threads that specified doubt, fear, uncertainty and plain pessimism of the Wii U. Normally this would be okay since most new consoles have doom and gloom topics. However, I would like to point out what routerbad said to some effect: "Most of these posts are written by the same person hence you can't distinguish whether these are troll or serious posts." I mean, it would be okay to respond and reason to some of this if they seem logical but the amount of doom posts here written by this dude who posts under the banner of "djlewe" have dirtied the forums and making it impossible to tell whether the others are trolling or are genuinely serious. For example, there was this guy who posted a topic pertaining to his questions about Wii U ports and of course, our forum instincts kicked in and almost tore him apart since the line between plain questions and trolling has been blurred. Worst of all, we keep on reviving these threads with new activity approximately once a week or so. Now I don't know what this Djlewe's motives are whether or not he was trolling or kinda improper due to his broken english but I can just say: Don't feed the trolls. Look how many posts with same topic this guy has. Now let's enjoy the Wii U!! Summers up for you guys and sadly, over for me. TL;DR- Don't revive "troll" posts.

#213166 Wii U FPS Drop?

Posted by ThePopiPenguin on 30 May 2013 - 12:36 AM

4 posts and starts a thread asking why Wii U has framerate drops that are only noticeable with high speed cameras, no, not a troll at all.  If you honestly are not trolling, my apologies.  However, there are literally hundreds of "why wii u performance sucks" threads, and the issues with ports are discussed in pretty much every single hardware thread on the forum.

Also, check my profile or post history before you start trying to call me out on my age, son.  You know what they say about assumptions.

Oh, and

You're welcome!

Worst thing is, a lot of these posts were made by the same person, djlewe. Can't we just stop these doom and gloom threads with incorrect spelling, punctuation and all and just wait for what Nintendo has to offer?

#209974 Hey There!

Posted by ThePopiPenguin on 22 May 2013 - 05:27 AM

I'm not exactly new since I've been reading here since last year but only made an account this year because I was lazy lol. Either way, I'm kinda familiar with the faces on this forum like 3Dude, UnchainedGoku, RouterBad and Amnesia since I've been lurking round here for a while. Looking forward to joining the discussions!

P.S Why is this dude called DJlewe78 always posting grammatically incorrect posts stating his doubt on the Wii U? It's a fine piece of kit and does this dude really have to post it so many times in an incorrect way? Just asking ~peace~ :P

On another note, am I seriously the only person in my generation (13 year old here) who loves The Big N? Everyone I know in my gen either only play CoD or LoL. (Not that I hate those franchises, I play them too) They seem to always find a way to hate Nintendo.
