#295671 Sony's RIME vs Zelda

Posted by 3Dude on 12 August 2014 - 02:41 PM

No similarities whatsoever for me beyond 3rd person adventure and a style thats not 'grimdark realistic'.

Definately got more of an ico vibe despite the very different art styles.

Getting a great Van Helsing vibe from this (The actual vampire/monster hunting character not the Hugh Jackman movie)

It's Nintendo, have they ever made a system that can't last 20+ years if handled correctly?

#293989 Why are so many people disappointed with Obama's presidency?

Posted by 3Dude on 22 July 2014 - 06:39 PM

The second time he was vsin that 1 rich guy, it was an easy win for Obama.
But the first time, the 2 main people who were advertised to be president over and over was the woman and the black guy. BECAUSE they were a woman and a black guy. He stood out above the rest simply because of that character trait thus he won because people wanted the first black guy as president. All of the equalists voted for him. The people you say who voted against him for that reason were a very minor portion of the country.

Dont go down this road.

Yes, there were some people who voted for Obama because he was black. But to try amd push that the vast majority voted for him only because he was black is an incredible, unprovable stretch.

Plenty of people voted for Kennedy because he was young and handsome.... Which was always put first and center in his fantastic and charismatic Campiagn.... WHich was funded by the mafia... That doesnt mean EVERYBODY voted for him because of his looks.

Obama had an INCREDIBLY Charismatic campaign, particularly compared to his oppositions incredibly underwhelming campaign, Obama was made the far, far more attractive candidate with a just plain better campaign, with catchy slogans and symbolism. Its what every campaign tries to do. His just did it extroadinarily well, while his competition fell flat.

Personally, I think Colin Powell would have made an Amazing president, and a far better lasting impression as the first African Amaerican president.

Because hate has become an all encompassing term for anything thats not glowing praise.

Personally, I dont think the man has enough experience under his belt for the job, and has made some really bad repurposing of funding, but its not like hes out there handling every damn thing himself.

He got voted into office on the premise of promises no human could deliver on, and people are starting to realize that.

But hes most certainly not some kind of AntiChrist or sleeper cell agent trying to destroy America...

But well, thats what you get with 'newstainment'... Damn you Burgendy, what have you unleashed.....

I wanna see more than just a picture. I want to see its source. I have trouble believeing this study when i hear you guys account for about 50% of shootings in first world. And have a way more serious gang problem than pretty much wvery country there.
That could very well be true. You could be treated with respect wherever you go, but that doesn't mean pople don't dislike your country. Many smaller countries don't insult americans for many reasons. Tourism is one. Slave trade is another heard of (though that's less common

Its a collection of reported crime statistics released from each countries government. You are not prepared for this. You are completely ignorant, and as such completely and absolutely incompetent for even recognizing the requirements for knowing what you are talking about. You are a child running off of hearsay, xenophobia and good old media sensationalism. But sure, lets do this, with a heaping helping of Canadian xenophobe bs style thrown back in your face on top of the facts.

You cant figure out why you have a higher violent crime rate even though you have less guns? That would be because you STAB THEM TO DEATH or BEAT THEM TO DEATH instead of using a gun, or instead of shooting the person trying to stab or beat you to death in self defense.

So tell me Canuck is your own god damn government recording your own damn crimes trustworthy enough for you?
c-g01-eng.gif
iLnskHOB4VAEc.jpg
oh calm down canuck. Im going to stop you before you try and make up any stories about data you dont understand, because your xenophobia controls you. This is total number of reported voilent crimes for the 400 million people in the United states, AND an estimation of unreported crimes added in, that you canucks didnt feel the need to bother with on your report. In order to get the crime per 100,000 citizens like your canadian graph shows, you would need to divide 400 million by 100,000, and then divide the resulting number by the 1,200,000 figure shown in the graph. WHich gets you 300 voilent crimes per 100,000 US citizens, and thats voilent crimes, as compared to canadas voilent crimes, the light blue line ending between 8-900. 3x LOWER than you psychotic, murderous, barbaric probably canabalistic and blood drinking (I mean, why else would you murder so many people when you dont even have guns to mind control you into doing it?) I mean, you maybe havent seen any, but ive seen them IN THEIR OWN ENVIRONMENT, practically ALL the canadians I have seen are blood drinking cannibals, or at least 900 out of every 100,000 and so ive seen plenty, and when they dont have knives, they use their hockey sticks to break open peoples skulls and eat their brains. I dont need to point out thats its only some, thats stupid its basically all you canadians with your beady eyes and flapping jaws, youre all alike, and yet deceptively incredibly polite.

Yes thats right, the recent reports show violent crime has fallen in america EVEN MORE than the reports the 2009 picture you had a problem with show. Violent crime in canada also dropped, by about 3%, but not enough to close the new gap instead of increasing it, making america now, 3x less voilent than canada in crime.

Good enough for the Xenophobe? ITS YOUR OWN 'PEOPLE' RIGHT? its from 'ONE OF YOU'. So you dont have to worry about some lying gun carrying, gangster american constantly spouting patriotic quips (Yo dawg, America the beautiful Yo, lets go shoot somebody with our guns we are allowed to have!). making it up.

There are what, damn near FOUR HUNDRED MILLION Americans. And only 40 million canadians. There are 10x the amount of people and therefore potential criminals, all having access to mind controlling guns, and yet you canadians have thrice the violent crime rate AT TEN TIMES LESS THE POPULATION, and WITHOUT GUNS.

That means, if you were in canada, particularly if you had the unfortunate luck of being an American in Canada, which is irrationally hating and xenophobic of Americans as you constantly demonstrate without any justifiable reason beyond stereotypes, generalizations, and complete and absolute lies that they tell everybody is the truth, like how voilent america is compared to them, you would be EIGHT TIMES MORE LIKELY TO BE THE VICTIM of a violent crime in canada or MURDERED BY BEING STABBED OR BEATEN TO DEATH by a canadian screaming about how arrogant you americans are and how violent you are, and how guns make people murdering savages WHILE THEY ARE BEATING OR STABBING YOU TO DEATH, than you would be in America.

Plus if you were in America, you would have a chance of defending yourself against said assailent by owning a gun in your home.

Welcome to reality Canuck. Dont let this news upset you so that you go out and perform a violent hate crime, probably against an innocent american who probably wandered over to canada for the free healthcare as he couldnt bear the impossible oppressive weight of obamacare, whom you hate for things they have never actually done but you have convinced yourselves is true through repeatededly saying the same unicorn tongue until people started believing it. I know you canucks are apparantly prone to voilence, I mean after all, 3x *Whistles* Restrain yourselves Canada, you cant solve all your problems by killing people.

#293160 is it bad to not like your own country

I lived in the US the first many years of my life then lived in Denmark for 3.5yrs followed by Austria for 2.5 yrs.  I really appreciate the fact the European countries embrace their culture and quality of life.  Moving back to the US has been a challenge as their are so many negative groups in our society.  The divide between left and right has become so bad.  I will say the biggest reason I may leave this country again, in hand with my European wife, is the violence in this country.  The tolerance for it is beyond stupid.  Yes there is violence every, but countries I lived in were no where near this level.

The United States is a very large country, and contrary to popular erroneous beliefs demonstrated with oft frequency here, is actually divided into a large number of seperate territories called 'States'. Many of which THEMSELVES are larger than several european countries combined.

Referring to the entire US with sweeping generalizations is naive, foolish and erroneous, As things like violence vary incredibly widely on a state by state basis, with many states actually having considerably less crime and violence than european countries.

In fact, Canadas crime rate per 100,000 people is actually twice as high as the United States. Hooray for stabbings.

As much as I enjoy seeing yet another cringeworthy concrete example of the Dunning-Kruger in full force, its time to put the rampant misinformation to bed with a dose of reality.

article-1196941-05900DF7000005DC-677_468
Unfortunately for narrative pushers, the US missed getting in on this list, coming short with 466 incidents per 100,000 citizens.

Australia is at a peaceful 92. But people die on the side of the road when their car breaks down... desperately trying to drink coolant to last long enough for rescue services... And games prices are robbery!!

Oh boy, Controversy Bingo!

Let's see:

Generalities, got it.

Stereotypes, ditto.

Bandwagon, got that too.

Blame game, I'm on a roll!

Composition, only need one more on that row.

Anecdotal, Bingo!

I guess I'm not cool because I like good ol' US. Sure, the government sucks right now, mostly due to a bad president, but that's nothing new. We have so many privileges that quite a few countries could only dream of, so I doubt I'll be leaving permanently anytime soon.

#292601 Petition to get Bungie and Activision to release Destiny on the WiiU

Posted by TheDoctor_13 on 08 July 2014 - 11:55 AM

wait, there is no PC version. There is no excuse for no PC version of a game that was developed for sub par PC's.

I still don't understand this Sub-par PC mentality. Can PC's be way more powerful? Yes. Do they use a more PC build rather than their own way (Wii U)? yes. But still consoles, for most people their computer cant handle games, and some like consoles better, sometimes games are sucky on PC too.

sorry mate, but there just arent enough people who own wii u's to fiscally justify this undertaking. Even if you got the signature of every last wii u owner.

#291747 The Legend of Korra Book 3 premieres today.

Posted by Portal on 27 June 2014 - 04:04 PM

Season Premiere just finished. Simply put, Book 3 is off to an amazing start. I don't want to dive in all review- and spoiler-like, so I'll only point out my one dislike. Third season in and they bring back the love triangle AGAIN. It's not a triangle yet, but this has been my biggest dislike since Book 1 brought it up and they just won't drop it. Anyway, 9/10 hyper beyond measure for the next episode in a couple weeks.

More Zelda is always good. No exception. Inb4 CDi, it's not even funny anymore.

Whether it be a remake or a new game (tbh I hope the latter BUT PEOPLE WON'T SHUT UP ABOUT EFFING MAJORA) I'll buy it anyways. I liked ALBW even though it was short.

In a survey of 1,446 registered voters

Ya this doesn't really help anyone, 1446 people on a website does not represent the millions of people of USA.
