#59915 Pokemon talk,trading and battling

Posted by Reaper Pin on 05 February 2012 - 04:59 PM

I have Pokemon Black. I love it. It's the first Pokemon game I've ever played. I only got it because I was getting my daughter White so she could play with her cousin. As my dughter couldn't read when I got it (and actually still can't properly - she is only 5) I figured I'd play Black so I could tell her what to do when we aren't at her cousin's house. I am so very hooked now. :P

#11648 The 'Wii U News' section

Posted by Feld0 on 30 June 2011 - 09:20 PM

I've added a new section to the site called Wii U News. As the name implies, it collects all the latest posts from mine and David's blogs about the Wii U and displays them there for your convenience.

At this point, it's in an experimental stage, and I'd like to collect your feedback on it before it officially becomes a permanent addition to the forums. So...please tell me in this thread what you think of it, whether it's good or bad!

#11307 Wii U website ads?

Posted by Feld0 on 28 June 2011 - 02:14 PM

Is this about Wii U Go, Wii U Blog, or Wii U Forums? I can't speak for Wii U Blog, as that's owned by David, but I can tell you what's up with Wii U Go and Wii U Forums.

No one is donating, and I don't want to ever have to collect money from readers of Wii U Go or members of Wii U Forums directly. I've added the ads to help cover the sites' expenses - they do cost a fair bit to run, especially for a teenage student like myself, as everything from domain registrations to a server to IP.Board costs money. Besides regular ads, you may also see affiliate links to online merchants like Amazon which I earn a small commission from every time you buy something through them (that's what this is all about).

On the forums, I've made most of the ads go away once you log in as an incentive to register. However, depending on how my finances play out in the future, it may not always stay that way. However, I assure you that both Wii U Go and Wii U Forums will always remain free to use, no matter what happens.

I'm sorry if the ads make things look ugly, but they're the only way I can finance the sites without asking people to give me money directly. It would be fine if I was running Wii U Go and Wii U Forums as not-for-profit fan sites, but that's not the case - I run them as a business, and do intend to eventually earn a profit from them (at least Wii U Go, anyway - forums usually just barely make enough to sustain themselves). Therefore, it would be a bit unethical to accept donations, wouldn't it?

2 new sigs. I'm gonna edit them more today. I changed some colors and proportions of the header cuz I like it better this way =P

Anyways, I'm gonna add some reflections and try to make a .gif.

EDIT1: Added 2 additional versions.

EDIT2: Yet again 2 new versions. This time with reflections!

EDIT3: Gif file added. Hope it works!

EDIT4: Just noticed that the signatures are much too big. Have fun resizing them! <_<

#7484 The Wii U needs 3rd party exclusives...badly

Posted by Mukkinese on 16 June 2011 - 05:34 AM

No doubt some exclusives will come, but they are not as important to Nintendo as the other two, because Nintendo's own software, which is exclusive, regularly tops out the charts.

I think some third party devs are being a bit narrow-minded in saying the Wii U is not their kind of platform and, seemingly, planning on ignoring it, not because of what it can do, but because of Nintendo's reputation as a "family gaming" company. Silly.

#5439 do you think the wii 2 controller is going to be expensive?

Posted by Storm on 14 June 2011 - 01:08 AM

They already said they're not selling the controllers separately because of the high cost

Here's a source in case anyone doubts this.
