So let's milk the franchise and come up with a new Batman game every year. I think this trend is getting tiresome.

And that's what's so great about it! No stupid features you don't need. Just gaming, gaming, and MORE gaming!

I'm foaming at the mouth because of rabies, not Mario Kart 8 or Smash Bros or X or Bayonetta 2.
You have to admit though that the Wii U lacks that killer app that will get gamers foaming from the mouth.

It's more that I want Banjo Kazooie than I want Rare.
BIngo. The big ticket item is the IPs, namely Banjo Kazooie and Killer Instinct. But then again, considering that Nintendo can't even use their own IPs effectively, I question how they'd do with more. :/

I think the problem with this analogy is that the 1983 crash and the current situation are really two different things.
With the 1983 crash, we have
That doesn't at all look like the current problems. Yes, the gaming market right now does have its own issues, but it's nowhere near like it was in 1983. Will we be seeing more developers possibly throwing in the towel? We could, provided they don't wisen up. But I don't see the cataclysmic industry-wide explosion that ends all video gaming as we know it until somebody somehow "saves" things.

ass creed is boring
Apart from 4, yes they are pretty boring. But messing around the seas as a pirate is fun. You really dont need any knowledge of the previous games whatsoever for this one.
Thanks to all the nintendo fanboys who never buy anything but mario we probably wont get the pirate spinoff game which makes me sad.
