#127990 Sensor Bar Optional For Setting Up Wii U

Posted by SoldMyWiiUAndLeftTheForums on 11 November 2012 - 10:28 PM

I am incredibly mad. What a gigantic waste. Wed still be using the d-pad if they were this lazy in the n64 generation.

You hate motion controls because you havent played any, only games that utilize ailivemoves 'record motion' feature, aka WAGGLE aka COMPLETE CRAP. Which is exactly why I am so pissed. As I stated earlier, only 3 full games on the entire system actually used motion controls.

I have played actually, and I hate them, who the hell in their right mind wants to come home after a long day at work, grafting to flail about like a giant man child eh? Give me a comfy sofa, a bottle of beer and a proper controller.

Hmm... I was hoping for a few intelligent replies...

#117416 IGN shows off Transparent WiiU (Shows everything under the hood)

Posted by Foot on 14 October 2012 - 07:53 AM

already threads for this but ok its nice an all that...........

clearly 4x ram chips leading into the MCM so the 2gb ram is made of 4 512mb chips, what level or type of DRAM we dont yet know but ether gddr3 or 5 will be included if not fast ram like fc ram and or some ddr2 i think one fast one slow for each 1gb is going to be the case likey main game ram will be 128bit and os ram around 32 bit ish like wiis gddr3 is.......

mcm shows system core gpu and memory conectors plus dsp and ;likey starlet arm all on a chip plus a cpu area cpu is very small = POWETPC 400 SERIES BROADWAY CORES EDRAM CATCH

gpgpu looks big forums are saying 55nm i say thats WRONG its a 45nm gpu with 32mb edram included so making it look 55nm ish in size a 5670 or a 4670 with edram 32mb at 45nm would look about the same size as a 4670 at 55nm with no edram

so im guessing its a 4670 /5670 ;like gpu plus 32mb edarm plus co processors and memory controllers at 45nm and thats why it looks so big no idea on bus but a intergrated fsb or ring bus likely used or maybe multipul buses the powerpc 400 45nm ring bus seems most likely or a standrad fsb version at the same bit and clock speed

very clean board minimul chips taking up space and power VERY LIKE GAMECUBE im sure the whole MCM is built at 45nm

why worry about a edram catch and a 3mb catch vs say x360 why worry about 5 instrutions per clock vs 2 instructions of x360 ps3 and wii why worry about 3xcores out of order why worry about a arm taking up back ground tasks why worry about a dedicated DSP

its not cpu its CPU CO CPU AND DSP AND GPGPU CO GENERAL PURPOSE CPU WORK YOUR LOOKING AT IT FROM A FUNNY ANGLE

its like calling cell ps3s cpu WRONGGGGGGGGGGGGGG it was a io /os/sound/graphics/cpu ---- multi purpose chip not a cpu i love how the facts are ignored

there is no cpu vs say x360s cpu its a cpu a co cpu and a dsp and gpgpu help VS  a x360 cpu LOOK AT THINGS STR8 ON NOT FROM WEIRD ANGLES

Ur words confuse me.

1) It's proven to be a customized embedded Radeon e6760 GPGPU. I have even got the email proving it.

2) It could be PowerPC, however the architecture is Based on Watson, which is Power7, and I wouldn't understand why they'd include Power7 architecture in PowerPC?

3) Stop being so crazy with your typing. We don't understand you and you probably don't even understand yourself

#117399 The blatant disrespect for nintendo and why they will win next gen

Posted by JaylisJayP on 14 October 2012 - 06:33 AM

I will preface my comment by saying I am getting the Deluxe Day 1, so I'm certainly not down on Nintendo.

That said, I really don't believe the power debate has to do with disrespect (who is Nintendo...CM Punk?).  I think it's just a matter of people wanting to know if their investment is going to be worth it.  While so many people point to gameplay over graphics, graphics ultimately do play a huge part in the VIDEO game industry.  People have a very sour taste in their mouth from the last 2 years or so of the Wii's lifecycle, and I admit the graphics gap ultimately got to me, as well, and I rarely play it.  (On a side note, I'll be keeping it since I can't see trading it in for like $50 especially since I'd have to buy another WiiMote plus again for the WiiU, which would essentially negate anything I'd get on the Wii).

I also would imagine and agree the graphics gap won't be as severe as last gen, but you'd have to speculate Nintendo will, in fact, be bringing up the rear.  All companies change over time, especially in a heated world of tablet/smartphone competition, and if Nintendo really had amazing tech to boast, I have to believe they would've done so at least a little bit.

Sorry but I am resigned to owning 2 consoles one of which will be the Wii U.It won't "win" in my eyes until such time as I don't have to use an Xbox to play warfighter,bf3,bf4?,crysis3,gtav? the list goes on.I hear people talk about Mario,Kirby,Zelda etc and yes the first party Nintendo games will be great. However gaming has changed so much in the last ten years that first party games are now taking a backseat sales wise to third party ones in general.
Love the idea of the Wii U,the hardware etc but for those of us who expect to play fairly much all the AAA games then at the minute two consoles are needed for me.I would love to be completely wrong and things are better than with the Wii.For me the console that will win this gen (if any) will be the one that balances 1st and 3rd party games the best. The tech, graphics etc will matter but people will want to play all the multiplatform games to consider owning just the Wii U alone

Your status as imbecile has been confirmed.

Madden on 360 and PS3 has a physics engine, physics engines are very cpu intensive. It has been removed from the wii u version.

This is a very simple thing to work out, its not complicated at all.

Why is ninja gaiden on wii u cpu intensive?

Do you even understand how games have different requirements for gpu and the cpu?

If you can not work this stuff out why do you even dare comment on threads?

You started these abusive comments in threads but you simply have no ammunition. Who are you writing comments for, other idiots like yourself?

You don't have to do much googling to see comments about the wii u cpu being a bit weak. Its not the end of the world most games don't fully utilise their cpu anyway. It certainly didn't stop me pre-ordering.

What is the point of lying to yourself and other people?

Why are you fighting the information that is being released from developers and other sources about the wii u cpu?

Why can't you act like a rational normal person and just debate comments back and forth without being abusive?
