#313579 First Wii U Specific Details of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Revealed

Castlevania 4 is the best in the series. Castlevania series was better before SOTN. It was horror themed and Gothic and no RPG elements,no Metroidvania. It was badass and SOTN turned it into a glamrock series. Still a CV like game feels at home on Nintendo consoles so I will get the phyical release much like MN9.

Pre Order.  Big names guys like Inafune or Ig don't need KS. KS is for people like my buddy living in a rathole APT in NYC trying to make a game to make enough money to get out of the rathole. EST name guys do not need KS they find publishers like Deep Silver and KS is just a way to get more money from people. It's really shady. They have the connections to find a publisher. Kamiya left Capcom say his series get ruined so he did it the real way. He formed his own company and found publishers. Bayonetta successor to DMC. Pizza face formed Vallhalla in 2009 and only this year Devils Third get released lol. So these guys know how to get around. Some just choose the sucker people route.

#314203 Darksiders 3? Maybe?

darksiders2_01_thumb.jpg

This morning, Nordic Games announced Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition as a Winter release for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Here’s what they say you can expect to see in the updated re-release of the game:

  • Darksiders 2 with All DLCs included and integrated into the game, offering a total playtime of more than 30 hours (DLC: Maker Armor Set, The Abyssal Forge, The Demon Lord Belial, Death Rides, Angel of Death, Deadly Despair, Shadow of Death, Mortis Pack, Rusanov’s Axe, Van Der Schmash H
  • ammer, Fletcher’s Crow Hammer, Mace Maximus, Argul’s Tomb)
  • Improved Graphic Render Engine for higher visual quality especially in terms of lighting and shadows
  • Improved and reworked level, character and environment graphics
  • Running in native 1080p resolution
  • Reworked and tuned game balancing and loot distribution

Additionally, Nordic have confirmed that they intend to continue the Darksiders franchise in the future, presumably in collaboration with Gunfire Games, which is a studio where nearly all staff members are former employees of Vigil, the originals developers of the Darksiders series. Gunfire are working on Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition as well.

Nordic Games purchased the rights to the Darksiders franchise from THQ during the company’s bankruptcy proceedings, and it looks like the publisher is interested in continuing the series beyond a re-release of Darksiders 2.

“We took over the franchise roughly 2 years ago and thought about the next chapter for Darksiders ever since then. Naturally (and extremely excitedly!), there will be a large-scale project based on Darksiders, but for now it is very important for us to take care of the existing games and make those available to a broader audience,” said Reinhard Pollice, Business & Product Development Director at Nordic Games.

“It feels good to be working on Darksiders again, after a couple of years of hiatus,” said David Adams, founder and president of Gunfire Games. “This project is a great opportunity for us to pick up where we left off two years ago and dig deeper into the game, which is close to all our hearts. Bringing the definitive Darksiders 2 experience to life is something that we hope a lot of people will enjoy and look forward to.”

Darksiders was one of my fave franchises last gen. If you ever wanted Rated M Zelda that is your series. BTW One of the lead Art designs on the series now works at Retro and designed the enemies in Tropical Freeze.

When your Xbox needs anti virus software. It's not the first time a console running on a Microsoft OS. Dreamcast was running on Windows CE.

#315770 Meet the accessory Sony built for Nintendo that spawned the PlayStation [VIDEO]

Posted by Raiden on 03 July 2015 - 04:07 PM in General Gaming

There is a piece of history people miss about this. It was not Nintendo dropping sony that killed them. It was going catrridge as we had a bunch of CD based consoles that flopped at that time that Sony could have easily been another as at the time Phillips and Panasonic were huge electronic companies that rivaled Sony I mean heck NEC failed and they were massive. 3D0,Jaguar CD,CDi. Sony PlayStation being a success did not hurt Nintendo as so much is marked the end for SEGA. Tom Kalinske president of SOA of the time wanted to partner with Sony for the next console and gave them a spec sheet. SEGA of Japan rejected the idea and made Saturn instead. Sony used the specs to build PS1 and the Saturn was a nighmare to develop for and finished witrh 9 million sold worldwide. Had Nintendo went with CDs and SEGA partnered with Sony the industry today look a whole lot different.

SEGA and Nintendo made all the right mistakes to let Sony win. PS1 would have flopped otherwise.

#313685 Wii U/3DS Rodea story details

Posted by Raiden on 02 June 2015 - 03:49 PM in General Gaming

NIS America have released a bunch of information on Rodea the Sky Soldier, highlighting the game’s story and basic actions. Read on to learn more.

Story summary:

Once upon a time there existed two countries—Naga, the terrestrial machine empire, and Garuda, a floating kingdom in the sky…

Thanks to their advanced technology, the Naga Empire thrives. Seeking the power contained in crystalized Graviton energy, Naga gazes skyward at the neighboring kingdom of Garuda and launches a full-scale invasion.

Princess Cecilia, the daughter of Emperor Geardo, ruler of Naga, attempts to flee to Garuda alongside her robot bodyguard, Rodea. Trapped by her pursuers, she entrusts Rodea with half of the Key of Time—an artifact that is integral to the success of Naga’s invasion. Using the remaining half of the Key’s power, she teleports Rodea to Garuda, depriving Naga of the intact Key of Time, thereby preventing the earthbound aggressor from successfully carrying out its invasion.

Since then 1,000 years have passed, and Garuda’s citizens regard Naga’s failed invasion, as well as the Naga Empire itself, as little more than a historical footnote in the pages of history. At a small village in Garuda, a young woman named Ion lives a peaceful life with her grandfather, where she spends her days tinkering with machines and inventing all sorts of odd gadgets. One day, Ion is surveying an ancient ruin when she discovers a deactivated, broken robot—Rodea. Though Ion repairs the damage to Rodea’s body, the damage to Rodea’s memories is too extensive. He remembers next to nothing about his past, save for his mission to save Garuda, and the face of a young woman who bears a striking resemblance to Ion.

She finds Rodea, broken and deactivated, in an ancient ruin and restores him to working condition. With Rodea, she embarks on an adventure to stop the Naga Empire’s invasion.

Princess Cecilia:

The pure-hearted princess of the Naga Empire. She fled Naga with Rodea in an attempt to stop her father, Emperor Geardo, from invading Garuda. When that plan fails, she teleports Rodea to safety and is never seen again.

Emperor Geardo:

image: http://www.siliconera.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/geardo_thumb.png

Geardo was once a kind father who showered his beloved daughter, Cecilia, with love and affection. It was for her sake and the sake of his empire that he spearheaded Naga’s development into a mechanized civilization. To this end, he has replaced the majority of his physical body with the most powerful technology his empire can produce, further cementing his status as an immeasurably legendary ruler.

Soaring Across Garuda:

Rodea is equipped with a gravity manipulation device that allows him to fly. This device is fueled by Graviton energy, which is restored simply by landing on the ground. It can also be restored by collecting Graviton crystals, or by destroying certain objects.

Gravitons are not only used to restore flight energy, but they also serve as directional guides for reaching the goal in the shortest amount of time. Follow the trail of Gravitons if you’re not sure which direction to go in a stage. Collect a row of Gravitons. Locate and collect the next row of Gravitons without landing, and you’ll receive a CHAIN bonus.

Flight Basics:

The flight energy gauge inside the reticle will slowly diminish as Rodea stays airborne. If the gauge reaches 0 and there’s no landing spot beneath Rodea, he will lose one spare part (life) and restart from the most recent save point.

Flight energy can be restored by the following methods:

  • Collecting Gravitons
  • Landing
  • Kicking / Charging a wall

Basic Attack Actions:

Aim at a target and press the A Button to enter flight mode. Move the control stick to arc your flight trajectory. Press the B Button to use a Boost Attack… If once doesn’t work, attack the enemy multiple times.
