do u honestly need it to be able to play dvd's though?
here in sweden, the average family sees movies on dvd's so i would say yes.

FYI: those little tabs on the side are to make some space so air can flow in/out if you put the console in a corner or something like that. gamecube also has them.

cant they just do a good online service without friend codes, but with parental settings. just place a big letter in the box saying blah blah blah blah parental settings, cuz a dont think a youngster do know how to set up a home console, and in that way, the parents will know about the parental settings.

I am expecting some sort of third-party cooling stand to be made. I can see the Wii U generating tons of heat.
yea, they should just recase the whole thing becouse its ugly and its over-long when it just could be a little bit fatter like the xbox 360

i start to believe that i am the only one that think that the console itself looks really ugly.
it has:
wierd meisurements, exactly like the wii but just longer, any reason for that?
The syncronizise button, why not put it in the little hinge-door..thingy..
Still has that wii look that we been through in 5-6 years, i personally think that its getting enough now.
there wont probably be a black version until years after release, any reason for THAT???
All/many of the thousand fan-holes could be thrown away if they just made
i am a fan of nintendo and i love the look of the controller (espesially if they made a black one), but i think they have gone too far with

made me lollooks fine to me... simple! im still VERY worried about the reception of this console. will this console be dead in the water when the next-gen console arrive. we know it plays games and will support 1080p out the box.... but i'm still worried.
i believe that next gen will focus a little more on game experience cuz i believe graphics start to be so good that you dont need any better.

if they decide to go with pads,(that i believe they will do), then i hope that they are not that limited like on the 3ds, you could move it like 5 mm, i wantz it at least to be 1 cm.

I was thinking just for marketing reasons it would be good for it to look different than the wii. Although maybe they're hoping with the similar name and appearance to be a big hit with the casual market again.

yea..but hey, they could make a lite version of the wiiupad, without camera, sensor strip, stylus, accelerometer, gyroscope, microphone and all that stuff a second player wont need.That's a possibility, but I dunno, because you've gotta remember that it's possible only 1 player will get to use the Wii U remote, so some things may not work that well...

On the Wii U controller thing, the Wii U is technically capable of streaming to 4 different U-motes, but the cost of the controllers is going to be high so they want to design with only 1 U-mote in mind, for the time being.
thats why they need to do something like this
seriosly, i would love this controller if it was real.
