This would put me off the Xbox 720 if it proves to be true, although I can understand why the games industry want to try and stamp put pre-owned games as they don't gain anything from sales of pre-owned games.

I've moved this to Site News/Feedback as it's about the site rather than the Wii U. These sites were called Wii 2 Blog and Wii 2 Boards before E3 last year, when they were renamed as Wii U Go and Wii U Forums respectively. I expect that the site names will be updated once again if the name does change at E3 this year, but I can't be 100% sure.

I noticed that some of the steering wheels in the game looked like it was loosely based on the Wii U controller.
...or maybe that's what racing steering wheels look like :P

Also, nice concept! This is definately a game that could take advantage of the gyroscope and touchscreen simultaneously.


Formula Ome steering wheels are generally that shape, although I think that's a great concept! The Wii U Controller could work very well as a steering wheel for this game.

I think that at launch there will only be a white Wii U, although I can see there being one alternative colour scheme, most likely black, as there was with the 3DS. I don't think there'll be much in the way of bright colours available for the Wii U. Usually it's just handhelds that are released in lots of different colours, whereas recent home consoles have had a very limited choice of colours.

That looks pretty awesome! I don't know if I like the black buttons on a white controller though. I think it might look better if they were white or Een if they were grey.

I'd be very surprised if they didn't have demos on the eShop as they have them on the 3DS and there's much more demand for downloadable demos now than there was when the Wii was released.

I'm interested in the term "active posts" do our posts stop adding to our post counts at some point over time or is it just a word added for no reason?

Do you have a list of moderators/special privileges users? Nevermind, found them at the bottom of the index.
Is there a reason you have no moderators? You two admins must be very active to mod the whole forum yourselves.

Congrats to amac btw.


1) Active posts include every post you've made on the forum, including those in sections like the Forum Games section which don't actually count towards post count. That's the only difference between active posts and post count.

2) The reason there are no moderators at the moment is simply because I've only just stopped being a mod and I was the only one.

I hope that there will still be Miis on the Wii U and I don't see any reason for Nintendo to stop using them. I'd like it of the Miis are a bit more advanced for the Wii U though, with more options for hair, faces, noses, etc. I'd also like to be able to customise my Mii's clothing and download new outfits from the eShop.

I'm not expecting many announcement s about the Wii U here. I think that it'll mainly be to let more people sample the Wii U, with a few small bits of news to create some more excitement ahead of the full unveiling at E3.

It works fine on my iPod Touch. When you use you're iPod, do you view the mobile version of the site, or the full version? Also, are you using Safari, or another browser that you downloaded from the App Store?

I wouldn't worry too much about trolls. We've had a few in the past and there'll be more in the future, but if you guys report any trolls you see, myself, Feld0 or Brian will deal with them as soon as we can.

As for getting to know all of the new members that join around E3, it shouldn't be too hard. When David from 3DS Forums became an admin back in June last year, I thought it would take ages to get to know all of the new members, but after a couple of days I recognised most of the active members.

I'm not that fussed about a steering wheel add-on to be honest. I'm sure a third party or Nintendo will make one, but I'd be happy just to turn the controller itself. It works pretty well with iPad games just to turn the device. I also think that a steering wheel could make the controller unnecessarily big and heavy.

It would largely depend on how much I won. I'd definitely get a nice car and flat for myself. I'd also use the money for when I go to uni, so that I wouldn't leave with any debt. I'd probably also invest in other properties and make some income from renting them out.

Do you have AdBlock installed on your browser. I Think it's caused problems with the Chat before, so If you use it, try disabling it. If that doesn't work, then try disabling any other add-ons in case they're causing the problem.

To answer your question, yes, you are currently banned from the Chat and it is possible to lift bans. As this only really concerns Sportsgamer and the moderating team, there isn't any need for further discussion here. Locking.

I disagree. Voting is optional in the UK too and I don't think making it compulsory would solve any problems. A lot of people have no interest in politics and I don't see much point in those people voting.
