I was thinking of joining the 3DS forums, but lately I've been hearing that it's troll city, should I still join?

Well there's no harm in joining, you might as well. The trolls and annoying threads are the reason I stay here but occasionaly I check the 3DS forums and there are usually a few decent threads. Plus many of the members here come from 3DS forums, so you won't be lonely there.
