it was just a guess, Ryu and a few others like 3dude discussed the possibility of engines being one and the same. nothing definitive.

Each blade of grass in Zelda U has its own physics by the looks of it, and all the fabrics on link's clothing have physics as well. That's on top of all the trees being affected by the wind, the clouds being pushed around, etc. I don't really see any physics whatsoever in Xenoblade X.
