Argh... ISP shenanigans!! Technician shows up to switch on DSL days early, cool,.run to best buy to return cable modem (was expectig cable to be best deal, was surprised, hadnt returned it yet) lady said they were adsl service provider. Got adsl modem/router got back. Modem doesnt work. Call technical, turns out lady has no clue what adsl/vdsl is, she meant 'we are A DSL ISP as in not cable' not we are adsl isp. Need to go back tomorrow and get overpriced isp branded vdsl mode...
