Do Club Nintendo points expire by the end of the year if you don't use them?

False. Coins do expire. After two years I think. You can see when coins are going to expire by clicking on "Account & Coins."

Yep just double checked. You go to "Account & Coins," then "Coins & Status." It has a spot for Coin Expiration. Coins expire after two Club Nintendo years, which is July 1 to June 30.
