not doomed or in trouble.  the wii u outsold both the 360 and ps3 combined in the first 6 weeks. after that and xmas took a dive but that happens with all new consoles. try finding a copy of monster hunter and lego. they sold out quick.  many great games coming.  forbes rates nintendo as the number 1 electronic co in the world. not sony, ms or even apple. nintendo is fine. only thing i wish is these topics to be doomed.

I completely agree, useless to even discuss really.

None of us are physics, so we can't tell. The system hasn't been out long at all. This thready has been made about 100 times since the launch of the system. I'm willing to bet post E3 and into this years holiday season peoples tune will change.

I am, in fact, physics.

This statement is false. The previous statement is true.

RIP in peace Nintendo.

seems doomed to me.
It fits the criteria:

1. it's nintendo
2. it's new
3. people keep posting it's doomed on internet message boards

Yep, it's been posted on the internet. That means it is true. You can't post something on the internet unless its real.

And btw I am Bill Gates.

Yes, it's pretty obvious that nobody on this forum is the study of matter and it's motion through space and time.

that the problem im not talking sales here. the perception from themedia and gamers. the negative press all of these things adds up. there is no hype for the system and no developers (not sure if its NDA's) seems to be head over hills about the console. maybe indie devs but no third party devs. all of their quotes are just PR BS like oh its a great piece of hardware. i dont see any companies showing off their new game engines on the Wii U. One thing i will give Sony they know how to hype a system.

I hear voices in my head all the time, telling me what to do. But I just ignore them and carry on killing.

Wait for "X", Zelda, 3D Mario, Metroid, Star Fox...? If it's still failing after they've released those games and updated the OS then there is a problem.

LOL I noticed that little typo there, but couldn't be bothered commenting on it.

Those are all first party games. The Wii U cannot survive on first party games alone.

No more people will buy the Wii U when they speed up the OS, it is not common knowledge enough outside the internet, in the real world.

The Wii U is kinda like the Titanic right now, Nintendo know the iceburg is gonna come at some point down the line, difference is they can really turn this round we just need more system selling games, the iceburg is E3 if no good games are announced it will hit the iceburg and sink just like the titanic. But this is Nintendo, I'm sure they've got awesome things planned.

Odds are Nintendo will only unveil new games and features for the Wii U and 3DS at E3 which would not be enough, if their going to keep consumers interested they need to also announce partnerships with third-party devs, more third-party support and (IMO) a next-gen engine developed by Retro Studios exclusively for the Wii U.

Can you ****'s stop spewing this same line over and over again. The only reason the Wii U outsold both the 360 and PS3 in the first 6 weeks is because there was a MASSIVE shortage of 360 and PS3 units at release. Thousands of people who wanted 360's for Christmas couldn't get them because they were all sold out. 360's were being sold on eBay for 800 dollars.

Not the case with the Wii U... everywhere you looked there were 30-40 Wii U console's sitting behind glass counters at Wal-Mart and K-mart's across the country. Very sad.

Also, someone on here has said that Nintendo isn't marketing the Wii U because they rushed the console to market and it's still unfinished. That is 100% true. By the time the Wii U is in a finished state, the new Xbox and PS4 will be out and the Wii U will be the ugly fat girl at prom while the hot cheerleaders are arriving.

It sold more units in the first six weeks of it's life than PS3 and Xbox 360 did in theirs. Get your facts straight before you post a dumb rant.

You either:

A. Having a serious reading comprehension problem or

B. Did not read a single thing in my post or

C. All of the above

You are going to sell more units of something if it is readily available VS something that isn't. Saying the Wii U sold more units than the 360 / PS3 at launch is an unfair comparison. 360 / PS3 were sold out everywhere for at least 5-6 months after their launch and reflected negatively in the "launch sales" because people couldn't find them to buy. The Wii U had massive OVERSTOCKING and still sold far less than was expected.

If you don't follow any of that, then please get ask your mom or dad to explain it to you.
