How to create a character-
In roleplaying it might take some thought and imagination to create your character depending on the roleplay game you choose. Try not to rush. Good characters are a big part of good roleplaying. Try not to base your characters off a tv show or book. If you make a original character the game will be alot more fun and interesting for you as well as the other players. Give them a personality. All characters have their own strengths and weakness, they make the character seem more believable.
Usually it's nice to give your character an original name. Sometimes simple names work, but longer or more magical names can sound nice. Unless you know a foreign language, it's not the best idea to give your character a foreign name. Besides being unoriginal, you don't know what it means.
Godmodding is when your character is overpowered or invincible, like a god. It may seem like fun and people might not care, but it ruins the story that the OP created and gives you an unfair advantage.
Your character can die. An RP can get boring if no characters are killed. That doesn't mean that all the characters should die or that characters die all the time. Don't worry, you can make another character if in a fight you get killed.
Roleplaying depends on your characters interaction with the situations of the game as well as the other characters. No reaction will result in ultimate doom of the roleplay because the plot simply will not progress. Try to imagine you as your character. Imagine the situation and make your character react.
You may sign up up until the 10th page of the game. After the 10th page you will have to ask permission. If you join, you need to be committed and not just leave.
Depending on the situation, you should wait for the other players to respond. It isn't as fun if two people constantly post, leaving the others to be lost. Now, two people can go back and forth if their characters are the only ones around. But it's still good to let other player post about what their character(s) are doing elsewhere.
Creating a game-
Creating a new roleplay may be difficult at times but with enough thought it is definitely worth it. People are usually interested in interesting plots. Think of something original and people will join.
Introductions: It is important that you have a good introduction. By "good" I mean interesting that will make people want to sign up. Here is an example:
"September 4th, 1996
Lucas walked and to the local gas station carrying a stack of papers. He walked up to the register, bought some tabaco and handed the person working there the stack of papers. " If you could please hand these out when someone buys something?" he had tried other stores but they all refused to hand them out. It was most likely because they heard the legends of zombie road. "hm, zombie road eh? Sure , ill hand em out for you" said the cashier.
The letter wrote
I am doing a investigation on Zombie Road, best known for shadow people, witchcraft and murder. If you are even slightly interested in the paranormal, or the legend of Zombie road Please you must join this investigation. I hope to solve some of the mysterys of the road. please give me a call at (1444565)
I look forward to meeting you,
Try to make it interesting, and people will be more likely to join.
