Hasn't MGS been with japanese consoles? If it comes to the 720, then I can safely assume it will be coming to other consoles.

HD Collection and Rising were on the 360

HD collection is HD collection, and MG Rising is not a MGS.

Point being that MGS came to xbox at a later date, same way MGS4/Legacy collection can his a microsoft console later than the PS3 version.

I'd rather just stick to the Metal Gear Solid Collection on my PS3, thanks.

2 and 3 are all I really need, though I do have 4.

Wii U discs can be dual layered to hold 50gb. The only thing that I think would hold it back is thatbthe MGS4 engine would have to be completely reworked to run on Wii U, as it was heavily optimised for the Cell Processor.Kojima never said anything bad about the Wii U. Even though MGSV isn't coming to the system, that Miiverse leak from a few months back said metal gear solid. Almost every other thing it said has been confirmed, so it seems likely. If MGSV doesn't have some form of Metal Gear Online I will be so revel in the beautiful sunshineed off. I don't have a PS3, so I never got to experience it. Love Peace Walker's online though.
If Legacy Collection makes it on Wii U, do you think they would replace MGS1 and VR Missions with Twin Snakes amd maybe Ghost Babel? (currently the highest rated Metal Gear game ever) I personally wouldn't, so it would be more authentic, but they need to release Twin Snakes in HD sometime.

Do you have link that confirms the Wii U discs can go up to 50GB. All the articles I've seen on the Internet point to the fact they are maximum 25GB and don't support dual layers.

The best I have is a wikipedia page on Nintendo Proprietary Discs. It said it has 25GB per layer. No other website I can find confirms or denies if multiple layers are possible. We might just have to wait and see when Smash Bros comes out, because they will get as much data as possible, or if Nintendo comes out and confirms this.

Yea, seen that way. But an HD collection could be a way to evaluate how a console's market is interested in a series. That might be the case.
