So i know I'm a little late, but just finished Tomb Raider for PS3 after buying it for $30 couple weeks ago, and must say, I'm much impressed, it exceed greatness beyond what I already imagined it to be.

Not only was the gameplay spot on, but the character development towards this "new" lara croft and the story behind it was very strong!

For me, the game makes a strong comparison to Uncharted, and while i love that series and admire how polished and ...well, perfectly developed the game is, i personally liked Tomb raider over any of the Uncharted games.

 

It's to bad the game couldn't make its way to wii-u, i certainly can see alot of benefits from the gamepad, but maybe someday.

Is it really that good? I just see it as a way to have a female character die in  brutal ways than a male character, I mean jeez I won't see Drake get his neck snapped by a wolf, or get his neck impaled by a led pipe.

I know what you mean, but i didn't really come across half of what i expected to, there wasn't really any rape or woman beating, if anything lara is more brutal. I would compare it to RE4 and 5, how a missed QTE or dodge can result in a somewhat gruesome kill. 

I think because lara and drake are so different is what leads me to like tomb raider more.

But yes it really is good, you can tell they really put some work in to deliver on this game.

 

Worth $60 to me, but if you ever find it on sale like i did, buy it and support them. Bout time we had some quality 3rd party games.

My dad has told me i need to play through it, It looks cool and all, but it nothing has really drawn me to it, I'll try it one day..

Yeah agreed op, i completed this on pc a few weeks ago and loved it, for me it's the best game this year so far.

the whole feminist women being raped and beaten thing was of course overblown by the media. It's impossible to portray a female without people being offended by it. You'd have to have an ugly fat chick as the main character, and then people would be offended because you're stereotyping women in a different way.
