I'm trying to copy about 1.3 GB worth of stuff from my Wii U console to a USB drive.  The process is on 1/3 and the blue progress bar has filled up but it's been sitting like that for ~5 minutes now.  Does that mean it's frozen?  I wouldn't think it would take even close to that long to transfer such a small amount of data.  Is it going to mess up anything if I do a hard reset??  The message on the screen says "Please do not remove the USB-device and do not turn the console off."

If you want to, disconnect the hard drive.

Last resort would be touching the console itself.

Ok...still sitting with full progress bar on 1/3....I guess I'll wait a few minutes and then remove the USB drive

I removed the USB drive and was prompted by an error message to reset the console.  After doing that, I tried just transferring one file and it worked fine.  Now I'm trying to transfer just the second file and it froze again.  This is ridiculous.

I tried a different device and it works fine, so I'm guessing there must be some kind of compatibility issue with my PNY USB drive.
