I think there was another topic about this, and I'll say the same thing I said there:

"I'll go take a ride on my flying pig."

But seriously, I highly doubt we'll see any graphics that are disappointing (at least from 1st party games). Their two main 1st party games so far (NSMBU and Nintendo Land) have looked great, and I'm sure SSB4, Mario Kart, Zelda and Mario 3D will look just as good, if not better.

Then again, I could be wrong, and maybe all Nintendo's new games will look like they were running on a high-res Wii. Then what? Will you disown Nintendo? Will you refuse to buy their games and go throw your Wii U at a truck? That's fine with me, just don't complain about it; let me enjoy them! :D

EDIT: Found the post. :P http://thewiiu.com/t...e-2#entry192978

Just to clear things up: I'm not a graphicwhore. But I do enjoy good graphics at its time. And honestly, I've seen some amazing looking games on Wii U already. Trine, Rayman, Nano Assault, Wind Waker, NFS... but obviously I'm still left wanting in terms of visuals, and I think E3 will show even better looking games. And so do a lot of you.

But there's always a what-if. What if it doesn't look that good at all? What if the Wii U just can't produce as good graphics as we thought? A lot of people are being really optimistic, maybe a bit too optimistic. That's why I started the topic, I wanted to see how many people will be let down.. apparantly, not as much as I expected. :P

What will happen is Nintendo won't show anything that is obviously graphically superior to ps360 graphics (obvious to the majority of the gamers, not you crazy tech heads) and Sony/Microsoft fans will oooh and ahh about the PS4/Xbox1 and Nintendo fans will say graphics don't matter, and everyone will go home thinking their console is the best ^^

This will happen. Everyone will play the games they love and Xbox One buyers can watch as much TV as they like.

Look, when I say wait to E3, I mean a few things. One, wait till E3. Two, you'll see game play graphics on new consoles aren't blowing the Wii U wide open, like some say. Three, the games will be there.

And finally ... I mean Wii U will show what a "good" game looks like. Because I think CoD: Black Ops looks good. I think Sonic Lost Worlds looks good. However, if we see SSB4 in any form, we see Retro's title(s), and whatever else Nintendo has planned ... We'll see good graphics. What that means has yet to be defined.

In the title you ask what if we don't see good graphics then in the actual post you ask what if this Nintendo E3 won't be any good...

3D Mario by Galaxy Team, Smash Bros 4, Retro Studios, Xenoblade II, Sonic Lost World, Zelda the Wind Waker remake, Mario Kart Wii U, why even doubt?

Graphics are nice, and pleasant to look at, but I'm more interested in seeing what the next 3D Mario gameplay will be about.

I don't think it would change much. We already know that they the PS4 and X1 are more powerful. We've already seen graphics that are comparable to this generation if not slightly better on the Wii U, and it's only going to gradually get better. Personally I think it's fine the way it is. I would rather the extra power go towards things such as stable FPS, improved AI, and larger maps.

Woe is I, who haft been unprepared. I hath entered a sanctuary of forbidden to the eyes of men.

My eyes shall burn with the images of that which I had seen. Far beyond my comprehension, a ritual. I hath seen them dance and sing.

For they danced and sang with a passion no longer held by my kind. And when such ritual hath concluded I was awakened to the meaning of it all.

I was enlightened to passion of the other kind. finally, I sayth to myself.

"Mine being hath been prepared"

You would make it up in Steam sales. The wild card is the next gen, and what those requirements will be.

For example, a core 2 duo and Radeon 2900xt should run everything thing the 360 has better than it does. However, it does not work out like that. My and 8350 and 2x 7970s should crush next gen, but it will be minimum requirements at gens end if I am lucky. The consoles do have some advantages, too.

If only I had a desktop. I wanted to get one but this laptop is a gift and getting it replaced now would be disrespectful. Thanks anyway.

Oh no, I don't think you should go that route yet anyway.

If someone enjoys PC Gaming, or wants to get into it, and feels price is the barrier, it simply is not true. Yet, it is misleading to suggest the same, spec for spec, box with the new Xbox in 2013 will last it's entire life span while playing the games. It most likely will not.

Plus, if you have a Wii U now, and you have enough to play, you can get a new console next year when games are discounted. Catch up, and, guess what? No driver issues, games always run exactly as expected across all machines, and so forth.

In essence, the PC 'master race' thing is over stated, but this really long generation made it somewhat essential for some yearning for an upgrade. Others enjoy PC specific features. Personally, I like, above all else, being able to customize the hardware.

However, I cannot imagine life without the gamepad now. So, Nintendo has sort of killed the PC for me, LOL.
