So I dunno if this has been brought up before

Anyways

 

You click General Gaming and instead of a huge cluster of topics ranging from everything gaming related, It would open up a list of Sub-Forums

 

Wii

3DS

Xbox One

Xbox 360

PS3

PS4

PC

 

so on and so forth you get the "general" idea

 

The fact that I chuckled at that little pun shows Ive been playing to much Animal Crossing....

 

Seems like it would be the simple solution to keeping that section neat and tidy

I have considered something like that before, but not as many sub-forums...

 

I'm just not as sure, as I don't know if the users want it or not.  (Too many sub-forums make a forum look messy)

You could try a less varied approach. Keep it simple with "Modern Consoles", "Handhelds" and "Retro Devices".

 

Modern would probably hold PS3/PS4/Xbox360/Xbox1/Wii/PC discussions, Handhelds would have 3DS/DS/PSP/PSVita/Smartphones/Tablets, and Retro would be the old stuff.

I say have a section for sony, nintendo, pc, and microsoft. Just 4 :3

Too many sub-forums for that to look any way decent.

Best solution would be maybe, Handhelds, Last Gen, Retro, Current Gen. But that's still probably too many.
GG sections usually are cluster Wiis though.

N00bpwners is fine with all the subforums. It would be a good idea to do them. Even if not for every console at least create 5 with them being as follows...

-Sony

-Microsoft

-IOS/Android

-PC

-Other game systems

To be honest, n00bpwners is a heavily cluttered forum. I don't think taking the same approach that they do is efficient to the cause.

n00bpwners layout is ugly. They have a forum for every topic.  We have enough forums as it is, maybe one or two more sub-forums and revamping them.

Don't tell them that on their forum or they'll put you on moderation que.

Also, don't swear at moderators in private messages for acting like jerks etiher, because that'll give them an excuse to.
