For some reason I can't seem to retrieve my arrows when I've used them to kill a zombie.  When I approach the dead zombie and stand near the arrow I don't get a button prompt, and just pressing triangle doesn't do anything.  Anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

Critics who treat "adult" as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. [T]o carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.

I think its a glitch, because when I use arrows I can still get them after I kill runners or hunters, I mean you can still get bullets from like a handgun.

Hmmm, I did a bit more searching on the internet and it looks like the arrows can break, especially if you hit the zombie in the body rather than the head.  Did that not ever happen to you?

Arrows do sometimes break in half. If you were to shoot one at a building, it would break in half, and you wouldn't be able to retrieve it.

I'm not sure how often they break when used on an enemy, but it's definitely not a glitch,

I heard somewhere that the first arrow always breaks.

Never had that problem but then again I didn't use that many arrows  :P

Anyway, I'm sure it has nothing to do with enemy type being an infected, it might be a glitch or it might just be that you broke the arrow or it's somehow stuck.
