I might take advantage of this. I'm already planning on buying Pikmin 3 and at least one other game by the end of the year.

I dont think so, with the delux deal, you only get money after you buy, with this, you get money just for putting money in your wallet.

How I found out was I got an email from Nintendo ,,,, it said ....shhhhh...your the first to know .... you get those emails when you sign up for them...

Well I would have jumped on it if I was getting Pikmin day one but the jury's not out on that one yet, besides, I wouldn't be able to even put a downpayment on a cheeseburger until mid August ... hehe

I'd try it, but I'm scurred it's not going to get me anything here in Europe.
Sure I'd spend 100 euro on the eshop eventually, even when I'm not going to buy any full game there unless it's under a tenner.

If Nintendo didn't tie digital content to console and instead tied it to the user account it might be worth it. That and if they had bothered to provide a faster and bigger internal storage capacity in the first place.
