However, we know a lot of pubs (particularly the Western ones) will still make lazy excuses because, let's face it, their grievances with Nintendo are mostly political, not technological.

He never actually said that.
He said dx11 makes developing his game for all target platforms easier.
Nintendo or the Wii U weren't even mentioned in that interview, idiots just assumed he meant wii u didn't support dx11 because it's not a confirmed platform for the game, and trolling Nintendo fans is fun because they'll spread it around and then real gaming websites will pick it up as fact and report it like idiots to further hurt the Wii U.

every single wiiu dev kit ships with not unity 4 but unity PRO the very best version of unity FOR FREE nintendo gives it to every dev who invests in wiiu development
stated by nintendo and others a long long time ago
its not a optermized version or anything its plain old unity pro its only used in phone/tablet games but is very capable
nintendo is GX2 AND ASSEMBLY LEVEL CODE /CUSTOM CODE
