Even though it's a bit cringeworthy, I have to applaud the fact that it tells us the features of the Wii U well.

It needs to be cheesey because if not, it would come off as talking to us like we are stupid. Wii U promos need to be simple, direct, and to the point. Like the Star-side-kick analogy and the graphic at the end. Good Internet ad, make it for TV, and follow suit NOA!

For a second there I thought they weren't going to mention it's a new console, because they're so woefully inept, but they managed to fit it in at the end with a little bit of text and an arrow.

Its the best ad I have seen for Wii U so far. Yes, its super cheesy, but thats what they are going for. Better than trying to go for cool and failing miserably. We need to see more ads like this everywhere. Its pathetic how few ads there are for Wii U. I have seen more ads for PS4 than for Wii U, and the PS4 doesnt come out for months.

I like it and I hope it is shown on TV. It's a bit cheesy but i don't think it's cringeworthy. I think they should've gone all out and got someone who is a bit more well known. Like Jonathan Ross or something, he usually appears in these sort of things.
But still, the point is that Nintendo are actually doing some real advertising now.

Why can't they freaking understand that the simpler an add, the easier it is to understand the product (remember "Wii would like to Play" ?).
WTF is this? It's like the entire marketing team at Nintendo got their degree on kindergarten. No wonder why people have no idea of what the Wii U is. The marketing campaign is just a big mess.

That's exactly their problem. They try to cater everyone's attention, but they're doing it horribly wrong.
