i forgave them after i heard watchdogs and AC4 was coming to the wii U.

Yeah still waiting to see a haands on with Wii U version of either game after ps4 has gotten like a dozen. I'm guessing we will see the game running on Wii U like the week its released. Good way to market Wii U versions of your games coming Ubisoft.

Yeah. I am not up in arms about it... sorry Rayman...I know you don't have arms.

I also agree if it came out as a launch title it could have done well as far as Wii U. But now, there is a lot coming out so it kind of losses me.

Also. I did mean earlier this year. Sorry for the boo boo.

I dont have time to waste on Rayman now. Much, MUCH larger more in depth games are competing for my very limited time.

Back in Febuary, absolutely nothing. Rayman would have had myundivided attention.

Now, its not even a blip on my radar.

Its not about forgiving, it was just a not good business decision. Ill probably end up picking it up used for 9 bucks during a droubt in a year or two.

I'm the same. With Splinter Cell out already and Sonic and Windwaker HD both coming very soon (plus i still want to get Revelations at some point) I don't have the time or money to spend on Rayman. But I would have certainly bought it during the post-launch game drought.

I was going to get this game in February since there was nothing to play...but now I just don't know, to many games in my back log and so little time....

Yep, its on my list for sure.  I was mad back in February, but since playing the demo and challenge app, I am totally sold on the game.

I never held a grudge against Ubisoft in the first place, even though the decision did annoy me. But the game is even better now, more people get to enjoy the game, and the Challenge app are all enough to make up for the big delay. I'm not gonna be crowded with other games (the only games I want in September are Rayman, W101, and Castle of Illusion HD). I'll be getting Legends day one.

I haven't forgiven them because there is nothing to forgive. Whilst I would have preferred the game to be released in February I can see why Ubisoft delayed it and decided to make it multiplatform with a simultaneous release. The Wii U hasn't exactly sold they well and the sales on the Wii U alone wouldn't have justified an exclusive release. As for releasing all the versions at the same time that means they don't have to spend money on marketing and promotion twice. Its certainly not a stupid business decision.

As for those who refuse to buy it now because there are other games coming out that's just doing it in spite in my opinion. This is obviously one of the best platforms games to be released in a long time and is pretty big with a lot of depth and definitely worth anyone's time unless they absolutely hate platform games. Its also one of the best games to be released around this time. Anyone who uses the poor excuse of timing and so called too many other games is just cheating themselves out of playing one hec of an excellent game. At the end of the day its their loss.

It was a stupid business decision. As 3Dude, I would've picked it up easily at February. However, they decide to release the game when there are a bunch of others coming out at the same time frame. They'd better not complain about the low sales. I'll pick the game up sometime next year when it's in the bargain bin.

Believe me, they will find a way to complain and blame the Wii U.

I'm going to still get it. I loved Origins and while it would have been nice to have this back in February, I understand that it's just a business decision on the part of Ubisoft - they have to make a profit.

Early last year? More like 4 months ago. Eh, I don't see the fuss. And it's not Rayman or even the creator's fault. It's just the CEO. Anyway the game has a 90/100 on metacritic atm, so it must be pretty stellar.

March, April, May, June, July, August... It would already be 6 months by the time it comes out.

Platformers are ok... but not my main thrill. For me it would have been a purchase to get through the awful drought when all the "launch window" games were delayed for 6 months.

It isn't spite. Just the plain fact more things I am interested in are finally coming out.

I have it pre-ordered, along with Sonic.  Origins was probably one of the best platformers I have ever played and Legends should be pretty great too.

Rayman was and still is one of my favorite video game characters.

It's quite complicated, because it could have meant the difference between the Wii U selling quite well and selling as badly as it sells now. And making business is not as easy as to say "what is the way to make this particular game sell the most". Sometimes it is, but in this case their decision probably had a lot of consequences.

But of course it isn't like the individuals that run companies like Nestle or Dole where they actually destroy lives to make the business running, so... personally, I'll probably get a used copy later on, maybe even drop them an email to tell them why I didn't buy their game new even though I would definitely like it.

I would have gotten it if it was released months ago. Now I'm spending my money on other things.

It's still worth a buy for me even though I was upset with the delay so it could be released multi plat, but all was forgoten once (even though few) some good titles started getting released and news of other up coming titles started showing up for this holiday season.  I think this game would make an great additiion to my Wii U collection that is in need of more excellent titles to accompany the other great titles that are coming during this holiday season and beyond that I will be purchasing. So yeah I got over the delay, Ubi and I are back cool.

Eh, level based platformers are just that.

Level based platformers. They are fun... but, they are also shallow, and feature no exploration whatsoever, or any of the in depth immersive gameplay I desire.

If this was a metroidvania, it would be a different story. These kinds of games lost their appeal to me the moment adventure/exploration games were able to take the basic mechanics that made them so enjoyable, and drop them in a game with so much more to do than use those mechanics to simply go left to right.

When there is literally nothing to play. Yeah, its nice to have a well done polished throw back. But thats about the extent of it.
