I will say that in terms of twitch gameplay situations, the controls in the NSMB games are going to feel more precise.  I didnt notice this as much in single player, but when in the challenge app, it can be frustrating at times with wall jumps sometimes not feeling as tight as I would like.  Some of this comes from the fact that you also use the jump button as your float button.  I think it would be better if I could move the float function to the ZL button instead of having it tied to the jump button.  The controls are different thats for sure, its definitely floaty, but thats not to say they are bad.

I agree with the jump button and hover thing. I can't even remember the amount of times I've messed up and hovered instead of jumping. It's really annoying in the daily/weekly challenges.

Probably b/c Wii U owners have been waiting for this for so long....   

 

 

Funny thing is that the Wii U version of Rayman Legends is selling out and yet the Wii U is doing badly.

My major annoyance is that in many stages you aren't able to backtrack to get things that you missed.

 

That being said, has anyone unlocked the entire butt orchestra on the pigtail planet?

What do you mean? You can replay the stages every time you want, I'm not sure what you mean with that.

 

I think every time you save a world (after beating a boss), you unlock a part of the orchestra. You just have to complete the first five world and that's it, the rest are just musical levels.

What I mean is that in quite a few places the thing is really hard to get at or easy to miss, and you are being chased by fire or vines or something so you can't go and grab that item.

 

 

And yeah, can't await to unlock the entire butt orchestra.

That's more a matter of difficulty than it is being unfair.

You can open the pause menu and click "Restart Sequence", that should be helpful.

 

The orchestra lasts for several seconds anyway so don't hold your breath.

Press start and restart sequence like the other guy said. I use that occasionally.

Its doing ok at retail, but a good sign is that its also near the top on the eshop.  It looks like the game has sold around 65k according to the leaderboards, which isnt a blockbuster by any means, but considering Rayman Origins only sold around 250k per console it released on, Ubisoft new what to expect.  So being off to a good a respectable start is a very good thing.  I would expect this game will do rather well come the holiday season, so its looking likely that it will surpass Origins in sales, which is probably all Ubisoft was really hoping for.

I noticed that my local Meijer store was all sold out of Rayman Legends.  Although I am sure Ubisoft went with a  pretty modest initial shipment to retailers, I think its at least doing well enough at this point to meet their expectations.
