hey, so far, I love my Wii u, but there are some missing features, such as facebook, skype, tweeter, etc. Surfing on the net i found this petition(http://www.change.or...-skype-to-wii-u).If someone can, please sign your name, so wii u keep getting more awsome.

I somehow doubt that Microsoft would sign for one of their bigger services for use on one of their competitors' consoles.

 

I could be wrong, but that's just how I see it at the moment.

That's not Microsoft's property though. If I recall, Microsoft owns Skype, but Mojang owns Minecraft.

Everything else already has skype, just use those devices.

Xbox One would still have a one-up on PS4 or Wii U, as it can video chat in 1080p I believe.

 

The PS4 is limited to 720p (although 720p 3D is also possible) and the Wii U I dread to think, probably 480p.

 

Still I'm not holding my breath, Skype on Android works fairly poorly and doesn't support HD yet, Skype in Linux perform poorly also.  Skype on PS Vita is pretty decent but is a battery hog, drains in only a couple of hours if you remain logged in.  So they aren't exactly skilled at getting the most out of hardware especially low-end.

i initally thought we would see this on the Wii U... or some form of it. I guess Wii U chat is cool but i havent used it once yet. its just too akward to chat with people you dont really know. now if you give me the chat with someone i know who doesnt have to own a Wii U then thats better. maybe they should try and partner with Blackberry as there BBM service is now going 3rd party and they can use that. i think they need to take advantage of the touch interface more of gamepad andbring more native apps for the system.

The more places their service works on, the more customers they get for skype premium in this case.

If what you said made any sense what so ever, it wouldn't be on PSV, PS3, Android, or iOS.

Skype is on iPad, iPhone and Mac.

Wiiu chat I think. So yeah why would they pay someone for the service when they have one. I'm confused lol.

It's redudant, plus Wii U already has video chat.
