Well...I'll give you more facts that you've left out.

PS3 Graphics are rather hard to see on a screen that size.

Dual Analog Sticks aren't a huge deal. The DS/3DS/PSP sold just fine without them.

The second touch screen looks hugely unnecessary, like they taped two iPhones together.

Voice chat could come to the 3DS without much of an issue.

The 3G is hindered by a 20 MB download limit, and it costs $60 per 100 hours...and did I mention it's hosted by AT&T?

Yay, Multi Touch Screen! ...what's the point? You have two analog sticks, a d-pad, four buttons, and a back touch screen...it most likely won't get used usefully in many games.

What good would Bluetooth do? (Not trying to slam it, but I really can't see the use here)

Most people have a GPS on their phone, or have bought one already...the battery on it wouldn't make it worthwhile either.

Most developers don't like their product being region free, as they lose money when consumers all flock for the cheapest release.

Facebook, and Twitter could come to the 3DS without any issues. I'm fairly certain Skype is coming to the 3DS soon...and I have no idea what FourSquare is.

Alright, you've got me, the inclusion of Adobe Flash is pretty cool. But once again, nothing any other system couldn't do without an update.

Markerless AR could be done on the 3DS with just a system update...and what the crap is WWAR?

I can access my email from my 3DS through the browser just fine.

And by so much more, I take it you mean...

Three to Five hour battery life...so long as the sound is mute, brightness is on the lowest setting, wireless functions are off, and you're not doing anything on top of that.

The better games (Uncharted, Little Big Planet, Marvel VS Capcom) will be $60.

The system has no internal memory, so you're required to pay for a $30 memory card.

The system takes 2 hours and 40 minutes to recharge by USB cable. If you want a AC adapter for it, that costs $40 in the form of a charging cradle.

There is backwards compatibility...but you have to pay an extra fee for something that should be there in the first place.

What's the point of having those awesome specs if I have to be near a charging point every hour?

TL;DR: The Vita is 5 years ahead of its time, and that isn't a good thing. I for one, will not be buying one unless the price of everything it has drops significantly.

(And, sorry for the long post.)

Oh, and quote Chris Norden. “Performance (of the Vita) is not as good as PS3. We can tell you they don’t run at that speed (1.5GHz) — just for short times, like sub-second times. The reason is heat dissipation. All modern processors change the clock speed continuously depending on what you’re doing… This happens at sub-second intervals. There’s some pretty impressive stuff that looks kind of like PS3 if you look at it.”

Dual Analog Sticks aren't a huge deal. The DS/3DS/PSP sold just fine without them.

Adding onto that, this and many other hardware functions can come to the 3DS via add-ons. Don't forget that the battery of the 3DS is apparently easily removable (Meaning they probably plan to release a better one soon) and the second stick is still smaller than the vita. I wouldn't be surprised if the 3DS had a RAM add-on 3 years down the line.

Yay, Multi Touch Screen! ...what's the point? You have two analog sticks, a d-pad, four buttons, and a back touch screen...it most likely won't get used usefully in many games.

You forget that multi-tough is inaccurate. Not only is it not useful, but it's counter productive in anything that requires buttons smaller than a thumb.

How thick can you get? This thread is only 3 pages long, you should at least TRY to read it. If you actually read the thread, you would have seen the fact I stated that I would buy one if I had the money.

Why don't you read the thread before ranting at me next time?

EDIT:Oh my god... you didn't even read the first POST. Where I said it looks like a good console.

What annoys you about a product description?
If you're not interested in the PSV, then why are you reading about it on a Sony website?

...
Apparently 2 people can't read my post...

I agree with your post, apart from that point. The 3DS hasn't exactly sold fine without a second circle pad, which is why Nintendo have announced the slider pad add on. If the 3DS was doing fine I doubt that Nintendo would have felt the need to make it.

Except it was Capcom that asked them to make it... Well, that's at least what all signs point to. The Classic Controller Pro was made for Monster Hunter Tri, so it makes sense for Capcom to want the same for the 3DS system.

The reason the 3DS didn't sell fine (as I don't think it really can't be called 'Selling Poorly' right now) was due to the lack of games, anti-3D journalism and the price. 2 out of 3 are currently non-issues, and this November solves the most prominent one.

I still think that some people have been put off by the lack of the second circle pad, especially with the PS Vita having one. I also think that the 3DS would be more attractive to some developers with a second circle pad, so it could have affected the 3DS' game library.

Only to the core-hardcore audience, which is a fairly small (But vocal) fraction of the gaming population. Many of them plan to get all consoles anyway... So, outside the few FPS devs who are too picky about graphics to develop for the handheld anyway, it shouldn't really be considered a 'leading cause.'

Keep dreaming. If Vita games cost as much as the estimate, Your looking $50-$60. Plus, 3DS has the time advantage over Vita. It will have weathered close to a year by the time Vita hit's store shelves, giving it a holiday lead. Sony pulled this same crap with the PSP and look where that got them.

Games that refuse to use Gameplay effectively to do anything are like films that refuse to use cinematography in film to do anything.

Let's put this how has the edge of each one 3DS vs Vita .Graphics:Vita,Games:3DS,Innovation:3DS,Price:3DS,GamesPrice:3DS,Launch:Vita(Very Likely),Online:Vita Augment Reality:Vita,Region Free:Only Vita,Holiday Season(Exculding Japan):3DS,3DS:5 vs.Vita:5.To me PSP got killed was because the 2 screens of DS.Theres is a diffrent market right now so how nows.I did'nt say it will kill it looks like it will at the moment IMO.Still time will determane the outcome just to me vita has a better life coming than the 3ds at the moment.

It's not a mathematical equation... We could keep adding more and more criteria, with or without a bias to one of the handhelds, and we would never be able to determine which one would succeed more.

But from the looks of things, the Vita isn't in any obvious way going to trump the 3DS any time soon, and it's actually looking to be the opposite. Not only is the 3DS getting a free holiday season, but it looks more and more like Sony is pulling a PS2 style marketing campaign... The difference between the PS2's campaign and this one is that there is no successful previous console to take glory from. That belongs to their competitor.

I know 3D video recording is coming in November, eShop overhaul and a new Streetpass game... never heard of a messaging system tbh...
