What's currently your favorite game for local multiplayer? I need something to tide me over between WWHD and SM3DW in late November, and would like something that my wife and I could play together. No racing games or shooters. Right now I'm looking mostly at Super Luigi U and Pikmin 3, but welcome any other recommendations.

Nintendoland. Get Wii Motion Plus controllers and Nunchucks, and it will be the best multiplayer game ever. NSMBU is also good fun, as well as Tekken or Injustice.

ZombiU. It has one of the best local multiplayer modes I've ever played and I'm not even kidding.

I would rather use NSMBU for multiplayer (unless your wife sucks, in which case she can be Nabbit) because the levels are designed primarily for single player. Pikmin 3's multiplayer is a lot of fun, and I wpuld recommend that as well.Haha...nah...wife's not gonna go for ZombiU. Any opinions on Pikmin 3 multiplayer or NSLU?

Yeah, she's not very good, to be honest. She might enjoy Nabbit. She isn't really a gamer but just plays sometimes to humor me and we have fun.

Nintendo has YouTube videos showing the Bingo Battle (competitive) Mode, and Mission Mode has an objective based Co-op mode.Yeah, she's not very good, to be honest. She might enjoy Nabbit. She isn't really a gamer but just plays sometimes to humor me and we have fun.

Pikmin 3's multiplayer is great but it's going to be fun if only both of you have already gone through the story mode.

Have you considered Disney Infinity? Your wife may be more interested in playing some with Disney Characters! My wife and I have fun playing and the toy box mode is awesome.
I definitely considered that! Glad to see it recommended. I figured Skylanders would be similar gameplay and a Giants starter set is relatively cheap now compared to the Disney Infinity sets. But maybe the Disney charm is worth it. We certainly have no emotional attachment to Skylanders so maybe the extra $$ for Disney is a good idea.
