Your can turn the power on and off with the pro controller, but you need the gamepad to select the apps.

Not true.  You can select apps with the pro controller.  I do it with the Afterglow pro controller I just got.

Move the cursor with the thumbstick down to the little button in the bottom right of Wara Wara Plaza to get the app icons to show up on the TV. Then use the thumbstick to choose an app and A to launch it

You can also use the pro controller to turn off the gamepad display

Oh, I haven't tried that. You still need to look at the gamepad to select it with the pro controller though.

I don't mean to keep contradicting you but I don't know what you're referring to here.  My gamepad is across the room and I just turned on my Wii U, launched Super Luigi, turned off the gamepad display, and started playing, all with my AG pro controller.

I misunderstood you there. I know the gamepad screen has a button that puts the plaza on the gamepad and menu on the TV but I didn't know there was a similar one displayed on the TV. I thought the controller was moving a cursor on the gamepad and you could click it. I haven't used the Wii U in over a month due to school...

ah ok.  Yeah there is a button on the gamepad but also one on the TV where the Plaza is displayed when you're using Gamepad to control.  You can move cursor on the TV with your pro controller to that button to get the apps on screen instead of on gamepad

I'm assuming it's costly to import electronics to third-world nations
