Here's why I think Nintendo will not sell nintendo games on other platforms:
1. selling nintendo games on other platforms, basically nullifies the Wii U and 3DS. Why buy nintendo consoles if you can play them on other consoles...including other consoles you probably own
2. it will lower the value of nintendo games. Nintendo can charge $60 a game (crazy price), because you can only play it on a nintendo. If they release nintendo games everywhere, the value drops as supply increases. Why spend 60 bucks on a nintendo game if you have some other amazing choices, like halo, etc? On the Wii U, you pretty much only have nintendo games as amazing choices...
3. Nintendo isn't about to lose all the money drained into the Wii u and all the upcoming games for it. Nintendo seems to have alot invested in the Wii U, from the console itself to the games. Why throw all that money away
4. Nintendo games are fun because they usually involve a new type of controller. Part of what makes nintendo games special are the new ways you play them...involving new controllers. Other consoles are not as innovative, they use tried and true controllers (part of those old tried and true controllers were invented by Nintendo). Nintendo invents new ways to play games...as such, they need to invent new hardware. I just bought Mario World 3D last night and played it with my kids. Its a great game, but I still have a better time playing Nintendo land (zelda mode, etc). The way they use the gamepad in Nintendo Land is amazing.
