Thanks for the vid, and I wouldn't call that a trailer for the game as it was more of a tech demo of CryEngine 3 with games in development (and it wasn't even stated it was a Sonic title), with that said, thanks again for posting it.

You know its funny, back when we had silhouttes I thought I'd like Sonic's redesign the most, now I like everyone's but his. His arms and shoes just feel wrong to look at. Though  to be honest I'm just glad to see the other characters in the series doing something gameplay wise, ever since 06 they've been hesitant to use anyone but Sonic.

Most of it was good, the graphics look great, the game looks fun, and the cartoon looks enjoyable. I'm mostly fine with the character designs. But Sonic being lanky and having blue arms is awkward, so is gigantic Knuckles.

 

Also dear god why in response to the dubstep in the trailer.

I was joking about the power however the game is also coming to 3DS.

 

It's a 3rd party exclusive, you should say THANKS!

I personally believe that they ruined Knuckles image. Which is why I don't like this.

This looks promising. I'm mixed on the designs.

 

Sonic: Not bad but they really need to lose the tape fetish. It doesn't look right on him, especially on his shoes. 

Tails: Love it. He looks perfect.

Knuckles: Someone has been hitting the 'roids. They need to 'tone' him down because he kinda looks ridiculous right now. 

Amy: No issues here. I think the new design works just fine.

Sega has been using dubstep/electronicky music for Sonic trailers since Generations. None of it makes it into the game.

People went nuts about Sonic having green eyes in 1999. I have been fine with modern sonics look since even tho classic Sonic is my fave design.

Besides this is a sub game and a sub series. I don't think these new looks are the main new look. Just SEGA may spend this year pushing it hard to get the word out for the new series that we may not see much from the main series. My only worry is that when Sonic X came out they fired almost all the previous voice actors from the games and replaced them with the ones from the show and they sucked. I'm a big fan of Roger Graig Smiths Sonic. He was fantastic as Ezio and great as Sonic and gives him a a unique sound which to me is the best Sonic has ever sounded. Dr Robotniks VA has to stay the same.

 

Aside from a few ground textures (which Lost World had very good textures all around and looked great IMO) this game is pretty impressive looking. In quite a few areas I think this shows Wii U detractors of Wii U power are wrong.

i love it so much. All the redesigns are awesome and the gameplay looks like a 3d platformer open world type deal. Consider me soldish.

Just been looking at the Sega forum, about their reactions and I've not known such a concentration of whiny little bi**hes in all my life. "Err I don't like the re-designs, I don't like it's exclusive for Nintendo" Shuuuuuuuuut Uuuuuup. You're all spoilt brats and make me ashamed that I was a Sega kid growing up. I just wanna shake and slap them all. Did I whine at MGS4 being a Sony exclusive? No. Am I whining that Dead Rising 3 is a Microsoft Exclusive? No.

 

I will however have a slight grumble at MULTIPLATS that miss out on Wii U or PC because multiplats are supposed to be multiplats IMO and if I can't get a multiplat on Wii U or Steam it rustles my jimmies a bit. [fingers crossed for GTAV PC!]

 

Personally I like the redesigns, although the scarf is an odd choice, if anything should have been red surely? I'm sure a lot of furries are eyeing up Amy Rose too

 

I'm hoping the TV show catches on because if kids want the videogame they can only go one place!
