You can't argue with the numbers.  The market is shrinking.  Consoles are cumbersome, power-hungry, and expensive.  
 
There will be the next big thing in gaming one of these days, and a traditional console ain't gonna be it.


The thing is, gaming was NEVER, a 'big thing' until marketing teams got a hold of it for this last generation and stretched it WELL beyond its bounds.

Its simply returning to its proper state, and all the cancerous fat will be slopped off.

Or it may be that we don't see a "big thing" in a while.....  Virtual reality or holographic type stuff?  Otherwise, how much more can they do?

I dont know... they may have to resort to... *GASP* progressing game design again!
