This is the one thing I really don't like that Nintendo does (or doesn't do). I understand their claim for most of their games not being online accessible. Smooth experience, bringing friends/family together at home, and probably other reasons I've not read about but I really wish they'd give us the option at least with most of their games.

Didnt Dynasty warriors 8 take the series to online story co-op? (Aside from the obviously named dynasty warriors online...)

 

Wonder what the real reason is. Probably Nintendos lack of servers in comparison to sony or ms.

I was looking forward to playing online- I thought it was already confirmed for some reason.

 

I want to know Nintendo's excuse for this one.

Supposedly online co op wont be happening but other online modes may be confirmed.

It will not feature Online Co-Op campaign, it will still feature an online mode like vs or something, we'll find out later.

Couldn't the online features they're mentioning just mean leaderboards or something? If they're going to have an online versus mode I don't see why they wouldn't include an online co op mode.

Good game design is timeless, and something online co-op can never, ever, ever replicate. Roof shingles are NOT a foundation.

So... HMMMMMMMMMM....

A game whos new designs and mechanics crap all over every other entry in the series from space.... Or another entry of the same old crap from the past decade, but with online co-op. HHHMMMMM..... Online made from a foundation of fecal matter, or superior game design without online co-op.

There is a reason the last dynasty warriors game I bought for more than 3 dollars in a bargain bin was when the psp launched. And its not online play.

I have no friends to play online with anyway and I don't like random people for co-op.

Online is only fun in games where you compete against each other, like Mario Kart and Smash Bros (or Splatoon).

Definately a bigger fan of co-op than vs. But I think that has more to do with weeding out crapstain people who purposefully flock everything up instead of actually playing the game, than inherent game design.

Ok, so the online connectivity has been detailed.

In adventure mode, there is a spotpass system dubbed 'Network LINK' hur.

This sends other peoples links, of their level and items and whatever, onto your adventure map somewhere. Should come across and aid the AI link from someone elses systems in battle, you will get bonus stuff.
