Now, you might remember at E3 2011 Nintendo showed a Tokyo street demo that apparently blew every other demo away, graphically. But we never saw it. They also showed Measure Up, a fun casual interactive game using the controller. Vigil was also supposed to show off Darksiders II on Wii U, but at last moment did not.

What if at CES this year we see that Tokyo demo and Darksiders? Although it was confirmed to be just the E3 demos, Tokyo and Darksiders (kinda) fall under E3 2011. So if any footage makes its way out, it just might be Vigil's Darksiders demo now that they've more time with new dev kits and longer deadline, and that visually amazing Tokyo demo.

Or, my personal favorite, I'm probably making this up and it won't happen 'til E3, and all we get is E3 demos sans thumping music and fans rambling.

I hope so, I really want to see that Tokyo demo and showing it off at CES would be the perfect timing. I am not 100% sure about the Darksiders 2 demo but Nintendo has confirmed stuff that we where told they where not going to talk about (remember that 3DS conference in September that was only going to be about the 3DS but half of it was about the Wii also). I just hope Nintendo talks alot about the Wii U at CES and maybe confirm more games.

As I see it, Nintendo needs to use CES to the best they can to keep hype and interest alive until E3 later this year.

Hope they've been saving announcments and tech demos...

I really wanna see Ninja Gaiden 3 sometime soon, maybe it'll be at E3 with Pikmin 3. :3 (I really hope P3 is a launch title.)

No, Nintendo confirmed that they won't be showing anything new. All the content they'll have at CES are the same things that had to show at E3. Basically, they're going to CES for people who haven't had a chance to try out the Wii U yet.

I doubt there'll be much new information at CES, but I hope I'm wrong. I just have a feeling that Nintendo will save all of their Wii U announcements until E3.

We're most definitely NOT getting news on Crytek's work or release dates, Pikmin 3 news etc., but what I'm saying is the Tokyo demo was at E3 just not publicly shown, now that more on the console is known Nintendo might show it next week.

Wait, what's CES again?

I didn't know other video game conventions besides E3 existed before last year. :P

There is a chance it will be there, but Nintendo may not let it be revealed to the public.

I also have a guy. But seriously they need to show more of what the console can do then what was a available at E3. I personally will be upset.... Even thought they have said the second "official" showing will be at E3 2012.

I heard that CES was just a means to keep hype alive but I am a firm believer that they will show us something new. I dont think that Nintendo will just give us the same old e3 footage.

Nintendo NEEDS to show something new at CES. With the impending launch of the iPad 3 and the mysterious Apple event after CES in New York, consumers will forget about the Wii U and instead be tempted to get an iPad 3. If they show something new, the Wii U will get back in the semi-mainstream news and encourage more consumers to wait.
