Starfox began it's life on NES as NESglider and was later moved to SNES obviously.
Creator of Fire Emblem left Nintendo in the 90's and Sony published his FE successor Tear Ring Saga on PlayStation 1. Later on PS2 made Berwick Saga. The status of Tirnanog (the developer) is unknown. Shouzou Kaga the creator himself has disappeared since these games. No one really knows what happened to him.

The name "Metroid" comes from two words, "metro" (from the underground tunnels of the original game) and "android" (Samus resembles an android) being smooshed together.

Sonic was originally going to have a blonde human girlfriend named Madonna. Yuji Naka later said he is glad he was forced to drop the idea. *coughsonic06cough*
