They will just come out w/another great system.

There is nothing wrong with elaborating a little bit Aaron, I know you ain't been here long fella :)

You mean Nintendo right? Yeah, we would hope. They never really disappoint, but its a new business nowadays. It always is, that is why it matters each time a release is on the horizon. What if this time, they actually did it properly? Not a lot of confidence around, especially since the 3DS launch...

Wish I could have your positive attitude! Have you been keeping yourself up to date with news?

News-wise I'm seeing the exact opposite; Huge secrets and oodles of developer love. And Pachter hate, but he speaks in opposites :P

If you mean interweb whispering, then I completely agree with you - People need more confidence in the old N. Contrary to popular belief, they know what they're doing; No other developer has as much experience as they do in the industry. What threw them off with their handheld was the pricing of competing mobile devices; Both the iPhone and PSP/V are/were very expensive, and they thought that it wouldn't be hard to compete at the same price. And it wouldn't have been had they gotten adequate support.

The Wii U, on the other hand, doesn't have any price-competing issues. The only thing it has to price-match is other consoles, and developer support is already there long before its official release date is actually revealed, one of which is bringing an enhanced version of a game that has gotten outstanding reviews. Add in the fact that it is much more clearly distinguishable from its predecessor and doesn't feature anything that can stir up too much controversy, and none of the 3DS flaws can be seen.

It's looking to be one of the better launches seen by Nintendo.

This leads directly to a thread I started over in General Gaming about Nintendo's image. I'm really glad you highlighted the positives, there are many! I hope they perk up the image they so rightly deserve to hold, giving their knowledge in the industry. We all just want to see them do well, and supply us some more of the best, and better. The Big N, haven't heard that in a while ;) Good stuff!

[EDIT]...The old N, i meant to quote. Mind, Big N is what they has been known, and should be known as!

I used 'Old N' to emphasize that they're not only pretty much the oldest developers in the industry, but that they single-handedly saved the North American Market. Even the Ancients slip up every now and then, doesn't mean that they've lost their magic ;)

To be honest, I don't see... Well, any negatives of the Wii U yet. There are a few iffy things here and there, mostly secrets, but I see no flaws in anything aside from possible competition. Which isn't hard, as we have almost nothing to go off of :P. The internet just likes to find as many possible bad-sides as they can.

He's abbreviating 'Nintendo' as a company :) Making the point they've been around for a loooong time. Which they have. Legends.

Not hating on the console but according to Urbandictionary.com, gimmik is a method of gaining customers with a certain trait and/or quality. The controller itself is a awesome thing because of its size. I love the controller. Better then Xboxes where I have to wrap my fingers together in order to get comfortable with the controller itself and the analog stick was made for kids cuz those are painful to use!

Anyways, I find complete interest and seeing this as a top selling(Depending on price). If it was going for a maximum of $350 or less, ps3 is doomed cuz if you think about it, buy a 6-7 year old hardware or for another $50, get the next best thing. Posted Image

I'm kinda confuse on why the have the option of 480p? I mean, who's really gonna stick with that..?

I'm a total buyer of this console! Especially the idea of not using TV to play the game(Sorry bad grammer :C) I can see my Dad watching Nascar while I can Mimic the drivers move on the nascar game(Maybe NTG:2012 or NTG:2013).

What do you love of the controller?

The one thing love bout the controller is that you can play on the controller even if not using the TV. I hate how sometimes I want to play games on the 360 my sister always wants to watch movies. so this will be fun.

This is so true. Nintendo is now part of history like the ice age or dinosaurs. They even have a Nintendo Museum

I would be very curious to see what a Sony studio like Naughty Dog or Media Molecule would do with a Nintendo IP if they were given the chance. Seriously. Posted Image

Sadly, I think that's outside the realm of possibility.

Goddess Nintendo will not give mercy for this blasphemy.
Consider this a warning.
They need us.
We do not need them.

Surely Sony would be the one that would benefit from this negotiation.
If I could, then I would

the console is (almost) perfect since i dont know much about it except some games and specs. e3 2012 is gonna be great because i want to see the new menu , online system, more games, tech specs, etc. i will probably get the wii u and put it in my room since i can play it more in there. so i will be running games at full 1080 p ! hell yeeeeah lol . I also personally love the controller. im really adjusting to the 3ds circle pad and i have to say its a lot better than reg joysticks in my opinion because its better quality, more accurate, fits nice with my thumb. i also like the size of the controller. i hate the 360( and kindof ps controller too) controller because its very awkward in my big hands . the only ppl who say the 360 controller is GREAT is either fanboys, or ppl with really small hands like little kids . plus people at e3 2011 said the u remote is very comfortable in the hands . another thing about the 360 controller is the trigger grip on the back is EXTREMELY uncomfortable when playing with the triggers for awile ( actually hurts my hands sometimes!) and i think the trigger grip on the u remote looks alot better but ill have to see how it feels at launch
