Removal of the Minecraft server

A brief history of the server to this day:
My first Minecraft server was a simple experiment to get Java and Minecraft running on the VPS I moved to in the summer of 2011. It was a casual vanilla server that only a few of my close friends played on. It was later restarted with Bukkit, then turned into this forum's official server.
Some time later, Jonke joined us and took on the position of Minecraft Admin. MLP Forums had also been launched by this point, so Jonke and I decided to relaunch the server with dedicated worlds for both communities. Officially, it was now the MLP Forums server, with special areas for TheWiiU.com's members.
MLP Forums's side of the server continued to grow together with that community, but TheWiiU.com's side stagnated and comparatively little happened on it. Not a single person from this forum has applied for access to the server in weeks, and the existing Minecraft players here are rarely active, so we will remove the Nintendo world and rebrand the server as a purely MLP-themed one.
As a courtesy to the members here who supported this side of the server back in its heyday, you will retain your build rights, which give you access to the MLP Free Build world, the server's adventure maps, and the ability to apply for the Equestria project. New players will no longer be granted access in the name of TheWiiU.com, but you are welcome to join MLP Forums and gain access to the server through there if you are interested.
I realize there was a lot of love for this world, but if no one is going to play on it, there's little point in splitting up the server (the cost of which is primarily covered through MLP Forums donations) and putting server resources towards a stagnating world.
We might revisit the idea of a Minecraft server for this forum in the future, but there are no immediate plans to do so.

Sad news but I guess this has to happen, we had a lot of fun times on the Nintendo world.
...I wonder if there are any spare places for moderators on the MLP side of the server.
It is now going to be an MLP-themed server exclusively, so you would have to be an active member of MLP Forums to be considered for modship after the Nintendo world is removed.
I, for one didn't use your server in fear of running into massive amounts of pony "art", I wasn't sure if the worlds were separate or what so didn't want to take the chance.
Jonke and I took special care to separate the worlds out completely - they even had their own chat channels. You could go from the generic spawn area straight into the Nintendo world and never see a single pony anywhere.
The application thread was pinned at the top of "Site News and Feedback" for the longest time. I expect members to check this section and keep up with official site happenings.
