this guys videos are funny but u cant take seriously what he says in all his videos.. He is not bad but he is trying.

1) He doesn't know that directx belongs only to microsoft, so only to xbox.
2) He doesn't know that the gpus and cpus, get modified before they add them into a console
3) he speaks about the most extreme leaks, that there is no need to speak about.. (Eg.. Ps4 will have a 7950 gpu.. is the biggest joke ever seen in a video).
4) He also believe that mobile devices (ipad, iphone, smartphones) will beat the consoles in a few years.

so I disagree in many things with him.. but fun to watch.

Well, Gamecube and Wii used DirectX 7 if I'm not mistaken.
No sig.

wii and gamecube games, use direct x, ONLY if you download them via the "emulator" in the pc :) busted... hehehe

I searched it on google, and that is the answer.. Because it sounds strange, microsoft to allow their apis to be used by a competitor.

Flipper was a pretty forward thinking GPU.
Consoles can use dx, but why would they?
dx is really only used so game developers have a common ground to work from.
Consoles = 100% alike = no need for icky api's unless you're cheap/lazy/rushing.

I think its quite simple how to analyse the information from E3, if Nintendo announce a full specification for the wii U it will be likely be an impressive specification hence the announcement but if they don't announce a proper/full specification it will probably be quite weak. When Nintendo announced the full spec of the Gamecube it was a great spec for the time and when they withheld the spec for the wii it was a terrible spec for its time. If the specification is a positive selling point it will be used.
