Yes but before the NDA on Wii U ended (if it isn't still going on) they already confirmed the actual title, so I suppose Capcom could have just said "it will come".

No because at E3 2011 Capcom did not announce any game, if they said at E3 2011 "Resident Evil is coming to Wii U" they could of confirmed in January there would be a Wii U version.

Okay then. I'll just wait for E3. I don't see a reason for it not to come to the Wii U, because it's getting a lot of third party support from other developers are ready, and Capcom and Nintendo are good friends.

Yep, RE4 was supposed to be a Gamecube exclusive until Capcom also put it on the PS2.

Meaning you can't trust Capcom on their word if they would say a game would stay on one console. I know they didn't, but if they would it would still mean: "Yeah it's coming for Wii U, we need money."
