To my surprise, a topic hasn't been started about this, so I figure I may as well go ahead. If there is one already like this that I missed, feel free to close down this thread.

Retail games will be available for download at the system's launch. This will happen first for the Nintendo 3DS, as you will, as of august, be able to download New Super Mario Bros. 2 on the Nintendo E-shop, or buy it at retail stores. Nintendo is also giving the option to buy a code from retail outlets which you may enter into the E-shop and retrieve your game.

This sounds good to me! Personally, I'll be sticking with retail games unless it can only be downloaded; after all, you can sell retail games if you don't like them; but it's nice that the option is there. What do you guys think about it?

I like the idea. I probably won't use it much, but it'll be very nice if I'm having a hard time finding a physical copy of a game, and it's available on the eShop.

I like the idea, but I'll mostly be purchasing physical game copies. Because nothing beats a tangible disc and case.

I'll go ALL digital if they allow it. I don't want to be able to trade my games in, and I'd like to have them all tied to a Nintendo Network account.

I hope Zavvi.com or their parent company thehut start selling them, they're cheap to buy proper copies of 3DS games, the only drawback is postage is slow.
If they can sell me the eShop codes for those games and email it to me at 12:01 the day of release for the same price, I'm going completely digital.
