Am I the only one who doesn't see what's so mind blowing about new gen graphics?

Have you seen this when Chinomanila posted it?

I thought this look really good.

I prefer this over the ones posted in original post. It's mainly because I really dislike dark environments (Although neither blow my mind).

Apparently this isn't even close to the full capabilities of the unreal engine 4. i read a comment on Kotaku that said this is just a supercharged unreal 3 engine modification and that at the moment there really isn't any graphics card capable of handling it. Though it could be wrong and i didn't look into any of the information to see if it was factual but take it as you may. either this is truly just the beginning of the next gen.

Even though these screenshots look trully amazing, it's hard to judge what UE 4 will be like for now. We have to wait for the actual demonstration to see how it works in motion, what effects it uses and many other things.
Also these images made me think of.. another Infinity Blade game.

Молоту войн и рокоту гроз вольные рати верны, где ветром могучим из братины звёзд рунные стяги пьяны.

Yup you're right, in one of the Unreal Engine 4 pics the fire guy is holding the same hammer. Good find, man.

^^^^

a picture and a video of engines running is hardly any indication about the wii u's capability to handle unreal 4.

Your looking at it from a pure graphics standpoint an engine is not solely based on how well it can make a game look.

This has nothing to do with the conversation like Echo said. Engines aren't graphics.
A game engine is a system designed for the creation and development of video games.

If that is from the Phone call me impress.(Would also point towards it being able to run on the xbox 360 and ps3 and if that was the case they wouldn't be complaining about the 720 and ps4 power than .

If you hadn't outright said that that was Cryengine 3.4, I would have been wondering why you had posted a picture of a random guy's face.

The Zeldo demo looks like it was developed by Epic Games or Retro Studios.

the snowy mountain is not that impressive, it is but PC can do it with unreal engine 3 as well and tessellation. Wii U is the first console with tessellation hardware, so yes, this kind of graphics are applicable with wii U..

I think that this demo shows how much more polygons per second it can handle. Just look at those wireframe renders. A lot of polygons!
