I was just watching the Nintendo Direct again, and as I watching the scene of the guy playing the game, he went through the comments made on his status, one of them said.

"I lost 3 survivors to that monster."

Interesting, could it be a hint at a game developed by a Company checking out Nintendo?, Maybe they were hinting at the game Left 4 Dead, made by Valve?

I think so, Valve has interest in Nintendo's new console, and Left 4 Dead consists of you surviving with 3 other people.

What do you think?, Share your thoughts.

I thought about this, but it just seems like a game to use for an example for the Wii U social system.
But who knows.

More of a confirmation I think.

It seemed that demonstration was more aimed at showing how another one of the Wii U's mechanics can enhance the gamer experience.

Seeing how it was HUD-less, didn't really show any titles, and was more of a comedic routine, I don't think it's an actual game, and all the animation was scripted.

Yeah, it was just a showcase of a technology. Not saying there isn't a game, but this is probably not a good source to start with on that matter.

Trophy Cards are classy too! LOLZIGZAGOON

there actually is talk about the wii u being a good console for horror games due to the extra screen and play controls
but this is just a concept demo, the game is most likely fakey fake, i guess you could compile screenshots and see where they go, but this is most likely not going to turn into an actual game

I know the game is fake, what I mean is. The whole concept of the scene, and the comment, could it mean a Zombie game for the Wii U.

Resident Evil 6 maybe...?

Possible, but I figured L4D, simply because the fake game shown was FPS, or it seemed so.

I think an Unspecific Action Figure game would be much better.

I think we all reading to much into this. Zombie are consider "hardcore" so I think they used that. But I could be wrong ...

I wouldn't read too much into this. It sounds like it was just showcasing some of the Wii U's features. There probably will be zombie related games on the Wii U at some point, but I don't think this is overly significant.

No you're dead right. That's marketing at it's finest. Zombies aren't just hard core they're super trendy. My local government just released a zombie emergency campaign to get people interested in their "real emergency information" because they knew it would work. Zombie is the magic word these days.
That said let's hope left 4 dead 3 is coming to wii u. Those are great games.

I think it was just a tech demo for the video, and might be on the show floor.

I think a really good zombie shooter game could utilize the WiiU gamepad with the zapper attachment. If youve seen that E3 2011 road demo which shows the inside view of a car but you can look in all directions with the gamepad. Imagine this sort of idea used in a pitch black room & you using the gamepad to look all around the room for enemies in a night vision look (like in the movie REC) That would be ace & crazy scary.
A bit like this but with more moving around the room:

While I do not believe Left 4 Dead will release on the Wii U, I do think the game they're hinting at may be a real software title in development. Who knows, it could be an unannounced title from Nintendo themselves.

All we can do is wait and see.

Just give us RE6 and I'll have enough zombie killing for a long while.

I would have to agree. I don't think Capcom wants to confirm it, and I don't really know why. It's a perfect fit for Wii U. It seems to be me that Capcom hasn't been all that impressed by the console yet, which may be bad news... Or may not. It depends. There are a few developers right now that just seem to be on the fence, for one reason or another, and I think it's because Nintendo has hyped everyone up before, twice, and both times have failed to capture the core gaming audience. Developers may be understandably gun-shy and are waiting to see how the hardcore crowd reacts.

Or maybe not. I don't know. I'm just speculating.
