So it looks like playing with two game pads at once will affect the performance.
I am disappointed. If someone else wants to play New Super Mario Bros. U with me, they are going to want to play with a game pad. But doing this will affect the performace.

Hopefully the effects won't be easily noticable.

I seriously doubt this is with ALL games to be honest. It'll depend on a lot of factors. If the tablet is just displaying a little extra UI for each player I can't see the effect on performance being too noticable, if at all. But if it's actually rendering different parts of the game and displaying them through the tablet's screen, then sure, it was rather obvious it'd cause a little performance drop.

And, seeing as NSMBU is graphically pretty much just a HD Wii game, I doubt it'll be one to be affected by these kind of issues too much..

I'm not sure why you would be surprised by this. It stands to reason that if the console is sending data to game pads then it's doing twice the work which is going to affect the performance. That's why they have limited it to just two game pads.

Great, that makes me feel a little better.

But HOW will it affect the performance I wonder.

well Iwata I believe did say using more than one Wiiu gamepad will cause the fps to be half so from 60 to 30 fps and 30 to 15 and so forth.

Streaming 3 screens @ 720p takes a LOT of processing power. Why do you think Nintendo went with the Power 7?

People expect too much.

You guys forget that most Ps360 games run in 30Fps

Halo, Uncharted, Diablo, Mass effect, & 70% of all Ps360 games run in 30Fps. CoD being the only one that runs in 60 FPS that I can name of the top of my mind

Nintendo wouldnt allow it to run at 15 FPS... That would be unplayable.

I wonder what kind of games would require two Wii U GamePad's anyway?
