Since this game is trying to do what Wii Sports did for the Wii, I doubt Nintendo Land will be online, what Nollog said

I'm pretty sure they said there was leaderboards, so there is at least that functionality. I believe the assistance thing that was shown in NSMBU and ZombiU is probably a universal thing among games.
As for direct multiplayer experiences... not sure. But if it is a pack in game, and the emphasis of the Wii U is the community working together, they could pull something.
