I just gathered all sony announcements since e3.. Sony started to mock wii U, yesterday by saying that wii U "not even in its biggest dreams" will be able to beat ps4 and today it said that wii U is in its own generation.. Also that ps3 have nothing to fear for them upcoming line up they arranged for it till next e3.

I agree with Sony. If I was Sony I wouldn't feel threatened of the Wii U, at least not based on what was shown at E3 (which was launch and launch titles). No reason to panic yet, the PS3 will be getting the same multiplats on as the Wii U and with comparable graphics. The touchscreen controller is great, but it is a gimmick to Sony and they don't think it will set the gaming world on fire like the Wii did with motion controls (which I agree with as well)

I love Nintendo but nothing I saw at E3 convinced me the Wii U was better or more powerful than the PS3. PS3 has the software this year; Last of Us, God of War Ascension, Beyond, Playstation All-Stars, plus all the big third party games like splinter cell and metal gear rising and aciii.

Wii U has another Mario and Pikmin 3 (which is great, but not enough for a whole year)

It's highly likely at this point that the PS4 will be miles ahead of Wii U hardware wise. You can justify it all you want by saying "Sony is failing" or "Sony doesn't have enough money for a next-gen system", but it's the truth. Nintendo has underpowered the Wii U for the sake of it being cheap. I don't see Sony being willing to overpower PS4 simply because it'd be a waste of money, but they're not going to go Nintendo's route and underpower it. Instead, they'll probably make a middle-ground system that will likely still end up being the most powerful of the next-gen, due to Microsoft's recent focus on the casual audience and motion control over traditional gameplay.

Agreed. Sony wont want to bleed money, but I think they will take the money it costs to make a tablet controller and use it towards a better GPU and keep a standard controller. They will use the vita to promote tablet like controls instead.

From day 1, when wii U is released, is going to be a downfall for ps3 and 360.. never forget that it is a slight update of the current.. So yes, all games will look better, crispier, etc.. But that doesnt make it next gen though... will see, we still in the dark about the full specs and potential of it.

My personal problem with wii U is, I gave lots of hopes about it as my next gen console and now I am in the process that I may stick my PC, I also tried to convince my cousins to buy it, so we play online medal of honors and games like that, together... And I didnt calculated sony or microsoft for my next gen console, at all..
I dont trust their built quality, and if I ever buy a ps4 for example.. I will have to wait up to 1 whole year, till I read user reviews about system flaws, failures, customer service, etc.. That scares me alot with microsoft and sony... They are horrible (they may be fast, but I DONT accept re-serviced machines in my house, they dont respect customers with such a methods), I had a huge issue with microsoft in the past with this policy and at the end, they gave me a check to go buy a new one... but it failed also.. lol So thats why i gave all my hopes in Nintendo, to give me a next gen console, NOT the best next gen console, but a competitive machine. fingers crossed till the reviews.

Generally I dont trust microsoft and sony for their built quality, microsoft mistakes kept me in the past 5 months without a console, because I didnt accepted the re-serviced.. (used consoles as a replacement) and sony have a horrible UELA, they remove from the customers the right to move them in the courts, and they force u to agree that their decision about any matter may occur, between u and them, will come out from them.. not u as a customer. (I am old enough to read the UELAs).

Someone tell Sony to stop jabbing at Nintendo AND prove your system is more powerful. It is easy for Sony to say bad things about other consoles based on the reputation of the company. Think the PS3 has seen some of its best games at the end of its lifecycle and the Wii U has surpassed this quality with LANUCH GAMES. The Wii U is a TRUE hardcore system not a system that relies on gore to LOOK like a "hardcore" system. A true hardcore system is Gamecube. A true hardcore system is Dreamcast. A true hardcore system is Wii U.
