If Platinum wants to make a Star Fox game, does that mean what Retro is doing isn't?
Of course, it doesn't necessarily mean that Retro aren't, but this has the ability to hint that direction.

I don't think Retro's making a Star fox, there are so many other great options for the series they don't need to use such a rare developer like Retro.

I doubt Platinum has any details on what Retros project is. Let's be honest though, if its a project that everyone wants retro to do its obviously a new Star Fox game. We haven't had one for years! After noticing its absence from Nintendo Land as well maybe this is a hint? Or my other guess would be a new FZERO game. Star Fox would seem more likely though since Metroid and Starfox both have robot/mechanic things in and about them.

I still think Retro is doing a metroid game using that fancy cryengine that just came out. Crytek did say someone respectable was using the engine for a wii u game. Seems like a good fit to me

I would prefer if Platinum Games continued to bring their own work to Nintendo platforms instead of making already established Nintendo-franchises.

To address what you guys were saying above, I'm sure Platinum was just answering the question. I don't there was any hint towards anything. It doesn't come off this way.

I'm not sure how I feel about Platinum making a Star Fox game, considering the majority of their games are beat 'em up and hack and slash... Though I see a lot cheering for the idea.. May I ask why? I don't know much about the company to make a judgement call

I'm really liking the love-in with Nintendo and Platinum right now, this seems like a perfect fit to me. Shigsy said that the series he wanted to see on the Wii U most was Star Fox so I don't think it'll be out of the question once Rising and W-101 are out the way.
