Hi!

Yes, the Wii U HOME Menu theme or WaraWara Plaza theme is yet another remix of the Famicom theme, just like the GameCube. It's great to see such a great legacy of Nintendo systems being translated into newer consoles. This new theme is so relaxing and gives me such nostalgia, reminding me of the day of the GameCube era. Golden days, those...

So, what do you think? Do you like the new menu theme, or do you prefer something like the Wii menu? (I wasn't a fan of it personally)

I really like the BG music it's soothing, and it's a nice little thing to know that it's a mix of an older systems theme. It lets you know they haven't forgotten their legacy.

Way better than the Wii's. I always mute the TV if I become sidetracked while leaving the main menu up. Also a lot less eerie than the GC's haha.

... I feel SO slow. I just realized the cube in the logo creates the C. I always saw the G and the cube but not GC lol.

I analyzed the audio in sony vegas and didn't found recognizable similarities with the disk famicon theme. I tried the following
Acelerating audio
Slowing Audio
and both of those inverted

Try the GC theme sped up 16x.
