But they need to so they can learn to disable the auto power off setting.
Either way ill probably open it up. Hook it up, boot it, setup, then.download the update.
While its downloading ill read the book. If the download finish fast ill probably go over the book in between game loads and bathroom breaks lol...

Also good to read the book you find out all the hidden stuff.

Removable batteries is probably one of the best things a company can implement into a wireless controller. Props on them for doing that.

Be wary, the suck is coming.

Thank the lord for removable batteries, makes things so much easier, quick queston, for the gamepad and pr controller batteries it says you have to Contact Ninty for a replacement, Can't you buy them on Amazon like DS and 3DS batteries?

First up, the Wii U Pro Controller uses the same battery as the 3DS. The 3DS battery is named CTR-003. This info comes from the Wii U instruction booklet.

"However, the GamePad and Pro Controller each require specialized lithium-ion batteries — the WUP-012 and CTR-003, respectively — and according to the manual, replacement batteries must be ordered directly from Nintendo."

Look at how much play you can get out of the 3DS battery when it's not in the 3DS! 80 hours of play compared to the 3DS' 5 or so hours of use. I guess those screens do eat up a lot!
Fun fact: CTR is "CenTuRy", the codename of the 3ds and WUP is "Wii U Project"

Wtf is an instruction manual lol, I always just rip that box open and play. It's not like it takes a rocket scientist to work out how to push a couple of buttons.

I have sold my Wii U, so if I deleted you from NN before I sold it, or haven't accepted your friend request since, this is why.

dont worry, a lot of consoles use that. Its for the console clock so the console knows what time is it even if you turn off and console and you are not connected to the internet, you would likely never need replace them, just por super rare occasions the clock stopped working or something. Thank nintendo that you can replace them
