I know you can use the wii mote plus, but can you use the regular wii mote for the wii u? Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I couldn't find an answer on this and I really want to know because I don't have the wii mote plus.

Yes you can. Only specific games utilize Wii Motion Plus anyways.

I am pretty sure you can, but you need the motion plus add on for the regular wii remote.

Well, If you can play Wii games on the Wii U and some games for the Wii don't need motion plus, then I don't see why you can't use a regular wii remote.

You do not need the Motion Plus. For certain games, yes, but for games like New Super Mario Bros. U, you don't need it.

But, the answer is yes. You can use the Wii Motes on the Wii U.

I know that, I was just saying another way to play games that involve more motion without buying another Wii Remote.

Depends on the game. They should say if one is needed or not on the Back of the box.
